Wolf Guard Dan
Hello, I had a quick question about the Iron Priest Model. On the bolter(right) arm there is a square piece of fabric with wolf pelt inlined that is chained to the right shoulder pad. What is the use of this piece of fabric. Does the Iron Priest get cold elbows or something? Is it a traditional piece of livery? Tell me please. I may use something similar in one of my conversions if I know what it is. Sorry for no pic. I am too lazy and I am sure whoever can answer me knows exactly what I am talking about. Bran Scalphunter
If you look at older models with Wolf Pelts, the inner side is lined with what I suppose is tanned skin. The IP has a pelt that looks like it just got flipped over. Stupid to model it with it, but that makes the most sense. Grey Mage
Yeah, its the backside of the wolf pelt is all, you can see the same thing on the inside of the "13nth Co Rune Priest" models wolf pelt. *shrugs* I always figured it was backwards so it wouldnt get the fur burned- ever smelled burning dog hair? Not good, especially with "acute senses". Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190575-iron-priest-model/#findComment-2259171 Share on other sites
stinkenheim
yeah its the reverse of a wolf pelt... i always figured it was his doodling pad when trying to work out which bit goes where or when hes bored... maybe to write his shopping list on, or important dates, wouldn't wanna forget Logan's birthday.... maybe it was Lukas and it should read 'Kick Me' Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190575-iron-priest-model/#findComment-2259339 Share on other sites

Arcus
i was going to paint company livery on that patch, but on reading this i reckon painting some algebra or geometric symbols would look cool. Or maybe a cross-section of a tiny tiny landraider. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190575-iron-priest-model/#findComment-2259363 Share on other sites
