Angels_Blade
Hey guys, Supposed to paint my LPC stuff but wasn't in a mood to today so bashed together a command squad for my Pre-Heresy Dark Angels Anyway, on to my Captains command squad. http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o138/mustanguk/SL381779.jpg For the sarge I really like the imagary of marines holding their helmets so I took a saw to the old (but no longer limited edition) sargent. http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o138/mustanguk/SL381777.jpg The standard bearer had to be different to what I've done before so I swapped the banner to the left hand http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o138/mustanguk/SL381778.jpg I don't like the arm thing the Apothacary wears so I decided to go for an auspex and reposition the scanner and light on the backpack http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o138/mustanguk/SL381781.jpg The champion had to have a shield and I found this in my bits box but have no idea where its from http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o138/mustanguk/SL381782.jpg The veteran is a favourite for obvious reasons! http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o138/mustanguk/SL381780.jpg C&C welcome as ever guys! Cheers AB Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190634-command-squad/ Share on other sites
Captain Mike
I got a load of those shields lying around, I can't remember where they are from either. But brilliant conversions, really well thought out. Personally I like the apothecary arm, but the conversion looks good too. onipunk
Where did you get the arms for the Champion? Or if you made them, would you mind putting up a short tutorial? And the shields are WHFB Empire Spearmen. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190634-command-squad/#findComment-2259843 Share on other sites

Menos
I have one of those shields glued to a base of an old 3ed Empire Gunner/Swordsman dude. Very fitting for a lioness and all... General Ravensong
The shields are from a Empire/Orc starter set for fantasy, at least that's where I got mine from. Mine found their way onto a unit of skeleton spearmen. Beautiful Squad. Brother_Beork
The helmets are maxmini steamknight helmets (http://www.maxmini.eu/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=12&products_id=60) I like the sword drawing guy and the shield and sword guy, nice classic poses. Cyrl
Really nice command squad, at first I thought the helmets were filed down chaos knight's from WHFB and a cunningly removed section of DA shoulder pad... *where's my DA's....* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190634-command-squad/#findComment-2261764 Share on other sites
