Mr.Millar
So, i have decided to partake in the Librarium Painting Challenge for once and have pledged 20 terminators for my chapter; The Iron Vanguard. Long story short, here's the required start shots of the models (I'm sure the one painted guy counts, as i painted him after i made my pledge. Besides, he isn't finished) and after much base coating here are the 20 promised troops (gotta love deathwing), ready for a lick of paint. The base coat on the space hulk models is a little patchy to say the least, as the detail tends to stop the spray coat from getting into some of the areas of the model. Looks like I'll have to do things the old fashioned way, Hm... :P http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10768.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10770.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10773.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10774.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190796-millars-lpc-stuff/ Share on other sites
Asrech
Looks like this could turn interesting. I vowed 18 ( 2 being painted as test already ) terminators myself.. The vow is a great way to get the kick in the rear to finally start painting the old ones eh? Looks like you've used a fair deal of bits on them as bling ( scrolls etc ). Adds to it :P When I prime i do bursts, meaning a quick push on the cannister, only a half-second long, and I usually never go at it from the same angle wth two bursts. That way you can get "behind" the details from the different angles without covering the fig in 1" of primer. Then agan I don't get the 100% cover most of the time myself, so I still have to use the brush anyways  Cheers! Mr.Millar
Thanks, I'm a big fan of "blinging" up my models, it gives them more of a unique feel. Also, i can't decide whether to paint the power fists as hard highlighted black or iron warrior style hazard stripes or maybe a mixture of both. As for the primer, yes i use small bursts and I usually try to get as much coverage as possible. It was kinda cold outside when i sprayed the SH minis so i rushed them a bit (better to have too little rather than too much paint) and I'm not about to spray paint anything indoors :P Update: not a spec of red showing on those Hulk minis now :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190796-millars-lpc-stuff/#findComment-2263342 Share on other sites
Asrech
I'd say go with the hazard stripes, since it's something not done often and lookws awesome! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190796-millars-lpc-stuff/#findComment-2263396 Share on other sites
Capt. Lysander
As said above, good job on the bling! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190796-millars-lpc-stuff/#findComment-2267920 Share on other sites
Mr.Millar
Quick update: terminator apothecary / count as chain fist is finished (apart from the gun and the odd highlight): http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10821.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10822.jpg And a powerfist, need to highlight the yellow though: http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10818.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190796-millars-lpc-stuff/#findComment-2268246 Share on other sites

Mr.Millar
Phew...I'm finished and i failed, although I would have liked to include my Space Hulk terminators, i really don't want to rush them and do a rubbish job. I did get one of the hulkies painted and I'm fairly pleased with the job I've done, so here's the pics, as promised  http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10986.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11014.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11015.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10997.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10999.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10990.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10992.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC10995.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11002.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11003.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11006.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11008.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11009.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11010.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11012.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11011.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190796-millars-lpc-stuff/#findComment-2341674 Share on other sites
