The wing on the front are cool, and kudos for trying NMM style painting. The change in colour is a bit abrupt, maybe because the picture is so big.

Maybe a wash of seraphom sepia to bring the colours together might work, either that or more blending is needed.

 

The dreadnought itself, are you going to put any glazes or washes on it? To me it is more like White Scar as you have gone from grey to white, again waybe a blue black wash could help with that.

 

Your sculpting is great, far better than mine and from what I have seen of your earlier painting, I have faith that you can really make this model of Bjorn a stunner :)

Strangely enough, I realized I had the same issue with the wulfen wind initially, I fixed it by layering a watered down grey over everything, it darkend the whites, and brightened the darks. I'll probably do the same thing with this. 

 

right now it looks like a neon light version of my painting style, i'd be fine if this was a tau model.

I agree, like a mixture of Shadowsun and Bjorn, maybe the watered grey will work.. Like I say your earlier painting was amazing, so I am sure you can recover this.

I've done a little more work on Bjorn but havent taken pictures yet.

 

Here's my WIP Wolf lord/ Canis wolfborn stand in. Other name Cerberus, because he has 3 wolf heads. lol

 

His chest plate is two wolves howling, the muzzles are on the shoulder pads.

Quick PIP on BJorn, I plan on painting in all my spare time, as my local GW store is interested in displaying my army for the launch of the 13th

 

 

I darkened the armor, and have to go back over it, reworked the NMM chest a little and found out it was my paint. I had used Matte median for so long to extend the lives of certain paints, they were no longer the same and no longer mixed with other colors the same. SO I went out and bought more, I need to probably do that with most of my paints now.

should BJorns claws be painted like Helfrost claws, or what I always did with claws, a Glowing red ember? His claws/chain gun will be one of the last things I paint on him. (at this rate either tomorrow or tuesday)

Helfrost claws tend to look like they are carved from ice or rock..

so an actual scale size of bjorn, most of my marines are slightly taller than normal due to kneadite putty being in the waist but.

I built my Storm wolf transport, and based it. starting to paint it. I also started painting ulrik. I expect ulrik done by thursday, and I'd be surprised if the storm wolf is done by saturday. pics will follow

So here are a few Ideas im running by you.

 

Wulfen HQ/IC's

 

Wulfen Iron priest:

Murder claws head, on the new Iron Priest body, if its to large, then a customized heavily sculpted terminator Power armor variant. Wulfen arms, Iron priest servo arm (right side), Warpsmith servo arms Leftside), a Under slung servo arm that holds the iron priests Helfrost pistol, His mount which he can stand in, is a heavily modified maulerfiend. Build him so he can stand in the back of it, mounted on his own base so I can use the same model with/without the count as Thunder wolf. With 4 PA wulfen (running on all 4) to count as cyber wolves.

 

WUlfen Priest:

 

Stern 2.0, with a nod to the lore. Human in only the loosest sense, these Were men strode through the wulfen. 

So the question is, Wulfen feet or no? I'm more inclined to say no, but give them a wulfen head with perhaps some type of broken wolf mask, and wulfen arms. Make there armor more held together with pelts and bone.

 

Wulfen rune priest:

 

similar to the wulfen priest, but make them appear as though they walked out of Gate. Wrap the energies of the runinc warp around their gauntlets, feet, eyes, and weapons. 

 

Wulfen lord:

 

No idea right now brainstorming,.

Now I can re made my 13Co.! Full wulfen army. Especially with a new spellcrow wulfen hands (for holding bolters)

So I picked up a dreadknight this weekend. Looking at it, I think i'll use the termie hood to build my Wulfen run priest! =D

 

Now I have to wait on the murderfang claws to come in, as I already use my first set. 

 

Converting this should be fun, just a lot of cutting, and I aim to have it in a wulfen esqe pose. Updates might come slow as I'm doing a ton of work for my portfolio to try and get in a awesome art school. But updates will come. =)

So I'm a crazy bastard and made the WUlfen dread knight, I just got his claws in! so I'll post pictures of it sat/sun.  Yes its sprinting like a wulfen. Not as much of a pain in the butt as I thought it was going to be!.
