MagneticFreak
Hello fellow wolf guards, Here are my newest additions. I managed to get our brand new terminators, and I coundnt resist to convert and paint them. I am surely not the only one to use the terminator parts to design new models, but its so great to work with something else than the old plastic sprue!! First, my Arjac Rockfist:"Don't mess up with Chuck'' http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z60/MagneticFreak/DSCF0745.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z60/MagneticFreak/DSCF0742.jpg And some wolf guard bodyguards, properly equipped! http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z60/MagneticFreak/DSCF0739.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z60/MagneticFreak/DSCF0738.jpg I also play Chaos once in a while, and I also decided to proceed with a unit of Slaanesh Chosen in TDA: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z60/MagneticFreak/DSCF0740.jpg Their shields are used in game terms as comb-meltas (they throw them as boomerangs; i know, but I like it!) My newest death guard squad made from Forge World Torsoes: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z60/MagneticFreak/DSCF0736.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z60/MagneticFreak/DSCF0737.jpg Please comment! fearlessgod
I love your Wolves MagneticFreak. Very nice indeed. BTW, don't let the Wolf Priest see those last few pics. HERO
How'd you do the rust on those FW DG? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190814-some-of-my-stuff/#findComment-2262634 Share on other sites
Night Runner
I like you're Arjac, he is a very nice center piece model for your army, especially with that axe that immediately draws attention. The slaneeshi TDA is also very suggestive., all silky-smooth-like, very suitable for its theme. Excellent work. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190814-some-of-my-stuff/#findComment-2262786 Share on other sites

Beef
Bring out the flamers, I see the taint of Chaos has tried to infiltrate the Fang. Nicely converted models there brother. Where did you get the massive axe from? Was that a conversion? StormDragon
Very nice looking models :), even if the last few pictures are of filthy traitors!! Quite literally in the last two pics. :) Also I'm with Beef on wanting to know what parts you used to create Arjac's axe? MagneticFreak
Hello all, Many thanks for your comment. Please feel free to criticize as well! @HERO: The rust took me a while to design, although its fairly simple to do in the end. Apply some Scorched brown to the areas you want the rust to appear. Try to select areas that are a likely place for rust to appear, namely the edges of the armor, or damaged areas, or hanging tubes. Armor plate edges are ideal. Anyhow, try to follow the lines of the model, and do not go ''all over the place'', as it shunts the effect. Then, apply, at the same locations a small amount of a 1:1 Scorched Brown/Solar Macharius Orange mix. Then, once again, apply pure Macharius Orange to the area, but in very small dots/patches. Hope it helps. @CainTheHunter: Solar Macharius Orange with a Ogryn Flesh/Baal red wash. Then, edges were highlighted with Solar Macharius once again. @Beef: Fortunately for me, a friend gave me all its remaining Fatansy Black Orcs bits. This Axe is from the platic Black Orcs sprue. I used a ''rotative tool'' (in english?!) to remove the orc icons on the blade edges, and placed it on the top of a thunder hammer, replacing the hammer itself. Then, I used the wolf skulls of our plastic sprues to create the center of the Axe. Hope it helps. Prophecy
Totally off topic for the Wolf forum, but could you take a few more shots of the Slaneeshi hero? It's kind of an awkward angle and the character looks interesting. Very sleek and smooth. Interesting take on the subject matter. MagneticFreak
Well, at the moment the only other pic I have is the following: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z60/MagneticFreak/DSCF0741.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190814-some-of-my-stuff/#findComment-2263369 Share on other sites
CainTheHunter
Thank's for the info - I am struggling here with getting realistic ginger hair : Your option seems pretty decent and realistic looking! To continue off-topic, from the fluff point of view, the purity seals on Slaaneshi character seem to be out of place :o. Or are they im-purity seals? :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190814-some-of-my-stuff/#findComment-2263446 Share on other sites
sonofwaranddeath
Finally! A color scheme for our wolves that maybe, just maybe, I can give a whirl and not mess up! Seriously, I think I will use your grey if ya dont mind ^_^ Arjac looks ace man, and I love the look of the hammer/pf guy "Im a smack you!" MagneticFreak
Sure, go ahead! Its easy and great looking IMO! The contrast with bright yellow and blue gives nice overall effect to squads.
