MagneticFreak
Hello everyone, Here is my brand new color scheme for my Death Guard, which I have been re-painting in the past few weeks. Of course, I bought the Forge World Torsoes and I decided to proceed with these only. Sorry for those how already saw these pictures in the Space Wolves section! http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z60/MagneticFreak/DSCF0736.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z60/MagneticFreak/DSCF0737.jpg Please comment Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190841-new-color-scheme/ Share on other sites
Brother Nihm
Love them, very dark and grim. Is there any chance that you will be adding colour to the eyelenses? Personally I think it would make them 'pop'. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190841-new-color-scheme/#findComment-2263106 Share on other sites
Sevendaemons
very cool. im kind of half and half on the eyes that Nihm was talking about. I think they would look even better if your painted the lens but they look super awesome and soulless without it. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190841-new-color-scheme/#findComment-2264710 Share on other sites
BaconMakinWeedeater
I absolutely must know your recipe for rust! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190841-new-color-scheme/#findComment-2264894 Share on other sites
MagneticFreak
The rust took me a while to design, although its fairly simple to do in the end. Apply some Scorched brown to the areas you want the rust to appear. Try to select areas that are a likely place for rust to appear, namely the edges of the armor, or damaged areas, or hanging tubes. Armor plate edges are ideal. Anyhow, try to follow the lines of the model, and do not go ''all over the place'', as it shunts the effect. Then, apply, at the same locations a small amount of a 1:1 Scorched Brown/Solar Macharius Orange mix. Then, once again, apply pure Macharius Orange to the area, but in very small dots/patches. Hope it helps. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/190841-new-color-scheme/#findComment-2265714 Share on other sites
