Spacefrisian
I was wondering what others think of using IA vol 2 for Inquisitor Vehicles+upgrades. I myself am doing this in Friendly games, after all why should i pay 30 points more for a Chimera? BTW: i only use those listed in the codex. wizard12
well, it really depends on your opponent. If your going to write a list with IA rules then I'd take a second without them incase your opponent dosn't like it. Might Iquisitor Lord Bob
Wizard12 makes a good point. Personally i only use the IA rules and if my opponent does not like it, I simply don't play. I'm not going to get shafted for points and stock equipment everyone else is because GW refuses to update rules anymore. But most of the people i play with don't care either. Eddie Orlock
I use my repressors every time I play sisters. Mainly because I don't actually own any rhinos painted in my sisters colours. Somedays it feels like a deception, and I'm not sure that all my opponents know that they're extra-codicial despite the fact that the coffee-table book appears in every game. Those that do tend to acknowledge that they're not over the curve. I'm reasonably confident that if I were to show up with enough of both repressors and rhinos I'd be told of to only use the rhinos on many occasions, the trick as it were, is to not present that as an option. JCarter
I have no objection it WH and DH playing IA2 vehicles. I would object if an opponent tried to field codex and IA2 simultaneously. Choose one or the other, no cherrypicking. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191095-using-ia2-for-vehicles/#findComment-2275586 Share on other sites
boreas
No qualms at all. I did tell my gaming group, and they agreed that we past due for a new codex anyways. It helps keep us a bit more competitive against the newer lists so it's also more challenging for them. jeffersonian000
While I agree with using IA2 WH vehicles over codex, DH gets shafted a bit in IA2 with over-costed/under-power vesions of their codex options. Which sucks, since I'm a GK player. SJ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191095-using-ia2-for-vehicles/#findComment-2280566 Share on other sites
Spacefrisian
But they are still the upgraded verions. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191095-using-ia2-for-vehicles/#findComment-2280703 Share on other sites
stoopicus
I'm happy to play by IA2 rules simply because we get the dreadnought drop pod. Arrives on turn 1 with locator beacon. I'd want it even without the dread :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191095-using-ia2-for-vehicles/#findComment-2281349 Share on other sites
