Dejay Posted January 30, 2010 Share Posted January 30, 2010 Hi guys, I thought i'd have a little go at painting yellow, so I decided to have a go at painting an Imperial Fist. Dejay Posted January 30, 2010 Author Share Posted January 30, 2010 Thanks, quite simple really, although that took around an hour to achieve. - Chaos Black Undercoat - Iyanden Darksun, watered down, 2 coats on the most part, to get a good coverage. - 1 Coat of Gryphonne Sepia over the entire mode, then 2 more coats only the the recesses / areas that you want shaded. - Around 8 coats of Golden Yellow, or until you get a even coverage. - Sunburst Yellow highlights - 60 - 40 mix of Sunburst Yellow and Bleached Bone, for extreme highlights (Although only applied to 1 pad so far) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thank you, I've got a spare tactical squad which I think shall turn out to be fists ;) no i didnt mean it was to bright it looks great i was just stating that it is very bright, dont worry its looks good ;) im more used to battle worn dirty marines thats all. I also want to do a yellow army after my Ultras because yellow isn't an easy color to do, and I will have to try the Iyanden Darksun foundation... but I am still deciding btwn yellow/black CSMs or an actual Iyanden army. BBL Thank you very much, yeah it's a pain to do, but when I put that Veteran next to my Red Sons Of Orar Vets, he just looks so much better in my opinion.
