The tactical markings on the sergeants shoulder pad is great, are these going to be added to the rest of the squad? ID Thank you for your very kind words, if I spend ages painting my IF's I spend less cash buying them :) He wasn't sacrificed as such, more of a promotion to a Telion stand in, in another Chapter. I am waiting till my painting skill improves a bit before I gamble! With regards to the Black Templars upgrade pack, I think it could work quite well. I have bought it alongside the Dark Angels and Space Wolves boxes to help add variety. If I remember rightly, didn't some pre-heresy fists fight with the templar style cross? On several of the torsos and weapons the crosses can be removed with careful knife work, as well as on a couple of the shoulder pads. The vehicle sprue has the most obvious Templar details, and the hardest to remove. Tbh though, I think you could get away with using the sprue without removing any. As long as the items off it didn't become the dominant feature through the army ( so people didn't think they looked like yellow templars). ID I've purchased the Fists Assault Pack for the Fist pads, so I was thinking if I add the Fist pads and say a Bolter here and there to add variety, I could use the robed torso's for the commands Squad. I also had my first go at painting a stone sort of effect, I'm fairly pleased with it. Anyways, I think that the chains on all of the weapons bits would look awesome on Imperial Fists, the only parts that I don't think would work that well would be the torsos, with the robes and such.
