I think by keeping the bright yellow as a highlight it keeps it from looking too 'cartooney', in my eyes. Also, when you come to highlighting them dont use Sunburst Yellow, try using Bleached Bone instead, it looks awesome! Looking forward to seeing more dude! My one nitpick is that you go to such effort with great painting but you leave the mold lines in a lot of places, really takes it down a notch for me. Generally I see that there is the "shading into brownish" and the "shading into orange" methods. :D I do the latter for mine. It's funny to see so many "yellow-enthusiasts" commenting, Fists, Lamenters, Malevolents all around sniffing the awesomeness of yellow marines. :) Yellow power armour FTW! It's for brave soldiers who don't need camouflage (even the mosquitos will attack), and for brave painters of course.
