Oldenhaller
I've ben working on everuything else I need to get my army done before I start my seraphim/valkeries....looking at the time and wincing. I've chopped off some of the hands and filed off some details on a couple of them but there's soooo much more to do ~O Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191224-librarium-painting-challenge/#findComment-2269227 Share on other sites

Wolf Lord Ronin
I like the weathered look you're achieving there. What colour paints do you use? Oldenhaller
Yeah that's gotta be pretty bad. I'm trying to avoid spraying inside but it's just getting a little too close to deadlines for comfort. Most of a 3000 point army in 3 weeks is a tall order...which without spray I don't think would be possible. But as there's a free army in the offing (am thinking that I'll add the other 2 ironclads, the techmarine and the drop pods i need to my mentor legion drop army) i rekon it's going to be worth it! Valkeries/Seraphim have tiny hands it seems...so am cutting the ones off of RTB01 marines as they're the same size! The basic premise for the conversions is to give them more fur, charms etc after filing off the sororitas symbols. After that everyone gets a spear (a'la goblin wolf riders), a round shield (from the same but converted up a touch) and a twin bolt pistol (chopshopped together to make a sort of storm-boltpistol). So far one girl has a spear and no twin bolt pistol or shield yet, one has no hands and the other has the spear which has since been 'misplaced'. Want them to look like a really identifiable unit...hope I'll get them done in ime as i think they'll take a week all on thier own! ~O Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191224-librarium-painting-challenge/#findComment-2269335 Share on other sites
StormDragon
Looks like a good start you've got there. He looks very battle worn. Can't wait to see what he looks like finished. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191224-librarium-painting-challenge/#findComment-2269408 Share on other sites
