SamaNagol
I'd like to congratulate DV8 for his Golden Bolter award in advance. His Ulrik (95) is sublime. And the other Ulrik in Terminator Armour will place top 3 as well. There's a REALLY nice Imp Fist assault sergeant but the photography doesn't do it justice. Let's vote and get our guy up there on the podium! Wolf Lord Ronin
Had a hard time deciding between Ulrik in PA and Ulrik in TDA. Both were just so well done. WG Vrox
Wow, some of the blending and conversions are amazing. Next year I am going to have to bring a whole different level of good. Probably should start on it now so I can be finished by then lol. So do you think you have to have a converted piece to have a chance of winning? Night Runner
It certainly helps capture the attention of the judges!, even if technically the quality of the painting should be evaluated. But I guess this depends on the regulations of the category and contest. In historical competitions there are sometimes different categories for painted stock models and converted ones. If you are going to do conversions make sure they are clean and seamlessly worked into the piece. No amount of excellent painting can cover-up sloppy conversion work.
