Thanks alex, well the sergeant was first built with one foot on the ground the other on the helm, he fell, broke and i wasn't able to find the same position, so now when i will add his other foot i hope that it will give the impression that he is running over the helm.

the helmets,in my opinion, are very...post-heresy....why not use mk III helmets,or similar?In the Heresy time,terminators used normal helmets.

 

Really? You sure, i have the Collected Visions book where all the helms seem to be done that way. Other pre-heresy armies also seem to have that type of helmets? Do you have any reference for that would honestly like to see that i might be wrong

 

Many people makes their pre-heresy terminators using chaos warrior helmets,or iron warrior's helmets

In collected visions,look pages 45,65,76,103,111,112,138,229,240.Are few examples....I think in other legions, the terminator armours were less sophisticated.In the traitors and Horus' legion, i think the armours were more modern than in the others.

But your model is very similar to this picture,in page 151.They looked to Grey Knight's helmets, too much.

I think yo can try to use an other model of helmet,(look here,page 262).

But your terminators are very cool!;)

the 1st companies foremost termie squad are painted in black armour to show there statis within the legion

Ya they are black. In the books it states that they, and abaddon are all in black. Dunno why, though i looks really cool aesthetically on a battle field.

 

Will post a wip of my land raider redeemer soon, and yes i know it wasn't invented but hey come on, doesnt take a genius to fit flamers to a tank. And i suppose at that time they weren't all religious about their technology,

 

 

AGRAMAR, thanks a lot for the info i agree with you, i now get what you mean by "normal helmet" ;)

 

I know they look like gk though my resources at the time didn't permit me to get the heads you showed, and reckoned that choped up termi helmets would suffice.

here some early pics of my land raider. I added the black for two reasons. First when it was white, it was too hard for me to make a good job on so much detail, having to shade it all, so i made it black, which is fine, since it acts as a sort of color transition between the tank and what comes out of the tank ;)

Looks good, I like the black as it adds detail and breas it up a bit. The moon on the side came out really well! The lettering Id say go over it with gray/white to thin it out a bit, and try to add some lines at the edges ( to give it a more gothic script kinda look ), since it's a tad thick.. I know what a pain it can be though, had to re-do it a dozentimes on my Ares.. bad memories...

Ya the letters looks a bit cartoony. Ill give it a try but ya it is hard for me to get really straight and thin lines that don't bulge in some places.

Sadly i wont, i built it before i started my pre-heresy force. Though i will add the eye of horus, which should tie it with the rest of the pre-heresy army.
