Grettins Battle Brothers,

Hi Lord Azoth!!!

Newbie in 40K... If the walls speak..... I remember an Atalaya Tournament... hahahahahah!

Very nice ideas for the army.

We wait you in ATALAYA VIGIA 2011, 40K tournament. And all the people who wants play!

@Doghouse: thanks mate... if you have any critics, will be apreciated too..

after finishing the SW sketches it´s time for final assembly.

First blood claw structure finished, once I have all assembled I´ll fill gaps,, make armor parts left etc.

At the end I have cut too much, so the poses are even more natural, the marines taller and slenderer... but I´ve added a big load of extra work in the mini...

2nd one is already in the assembly line...

they look good, now the question is when will these be painted up?

damn somebody discovered my kriptonite :) ... First I want to end the 8 BC..after it I will choose between start my GH (conversion) or painting these youngbloods..

I recognize that painting is really harder for me than sculpting/converting

  • 2 weeks later...

2nd BC pose glued. I´ll make 2 batches of 3 miniatures, and a last one of 2 minis. once I have 3 glued, I´ll fill gaps, add details etc. before going for the next one.

The last batch will be the one with interchangeable arms (powerfist/power weapon, flamer/meltagun)

In the final position (glued to the base) the BC wont be so leaned forward

3rd wolf glued, before gluing the 4th I´ll fill gaps and detail the first batch of 3...

Hi all !..I was thinking about the colour schema of my wolves.. I want some preheresy look, I dont want to use the "standard" bluish grey, I prefer the dark grey combined with a dark red...so I was playing with the SM painter..and I got this...

It´s important to say that all may wolves will be without helmet (even termis), and showing more flesh than the usual marines..a sort of 13th style...

C&C will be welcomed

back to school...

Tomorrow I´ll post the first 3 SW conversion finished...

Prior this, I´ll show you how I made a preheresy (I think) shoulderpad. I saw some of them and really like how they look.

My SW will look like 13th company so this preheresy look fit them perfectly..

http://a.imageshack.us/img413/5885/oldshoulderpad.jpg

1 - A standard marine shoulderpad

2 - Cut edges, sand it off to flatten the shoulderpad

3 - Set the pints where the rivet will be

4 - Make a little hole with a pin to help the later drill

5 - Drill each hole to make bigger the hole to place the little balls I´ll use as rivets. The little balls are circled in red. I got them from a friend who works in an optician's (Think use them to clean the glasses with ultrasounds)

6 - I glue the balls with cyanocrilate, shoulder pad finished!

First batch of 3 blood claws finished... 3 more in the line.

they have their final bases unglued, as well as their backpacks, in order to paint everything easily

Hope you like them, C&C are welcome for next batch...

Looking nice and dynamic.

Not a fan of bareheaded marines myself. But if done well, there's nothing wrong with it.

And wolves are a chapter full of individual character, and no better way to do that than to give everyone a unique(ish) face.

A small note. That's not pre-herasy, but heresy.

Lore:

Taxed supply lines to the forge worlds during the herasy forced them to improvise with more common (and weaker) materials. "Nailing" extra sheets of whatever that they had lying about over the damaged (or new) shoulder pads. The "nails"= the studs you see. After all, a slightly inferior piece of armor is to prefer over none at all.
