firstly, wierdly, a group shot,

these are all just tacked and given a quick black so i can try:P and compare them

on the right, the Hoffs standard design,

on the left. some little ideas of my own

not too sure about the IG meltagun and arms, but the rest of the two thin guys looks good. If you can find them you could maybe use some of the arms from SM servitors to keep with th AdMech feel. Over all though some nive work, I'd like to see more of them as the develop.

Yeah, definately too human. I just finished reading Titanicus a wee while ago and not long before that I read Mechanicum, (both great reads if you like AdMech stuff, or even if you don't) from the descriptions given in those two books, mechanicus warriors or Skittarii (infantry) are heavily modified so although they resemble humans superficially, almost every part of them is either augmetic or, if it's still organic covered in augmetics.

I think you're headed in the right direction, but I'd like to see more mechanical parts in the arms. Think weapons fused to wrists/elbows, shoulder mounted fire-arms, that kind of thing.

I've tried to find some pics to illustrate what I mean, but I'm short on time:

not ideal I'm afraid, but hopefully they sort of show what I mean.

I'm warming to the arms now. They look a lot better than the last ones. Good to see some colour on him too, helps to be able to see some of the details more. If you can achive that patchy looking red when you're painting them for real, I think you'll be on to a winner, it screams Cult Mechanicus.

The only other thing I can think to suggest is using guitar string or wire to make lash-like melee weapons, just for a bit of variation. You could also use cabling to 'strenghten' the join between each Skittarii and his weapons

I think you're on the right track with a re-breather, very mechanicus-y ;).

To make the lasgun less like a stock lasgun you could alwasy try adding a second one underneath the first, and then using greenstuff or plasticard to cover the join between the two. Maybe some kind of optics or scope built into the arm or gun might help as well. I'm looking forward to seeing the next set of pics ^_^
