Got some paint on the sneaky lads now. 3 are done, the other 2 either later tonight or tomorrow... heh, can't find a WIP thread for these, maybe I didn't post one here.

Ok, last two done, and a group shot. I played with a bit of water effects on the bases here. Quite like how they've turned out.

The camo:

Basecoat of catachan green (I used VMC 095 US green)

Squiggles in Khemri brown (I actually used VMC 134 USA tan earth)

Do the squiggles by randomly drawing a '6' in various orientations and flips. Space em out a bit. Now, between each '6' continue the tail in a meandering curve to meet a nearby 6. Try to avoid small closed circuits. Thicken up the lines till they look nice.

Apply an allover wash of devlan mud. I personally would skip this for future attempts as it'd also cut the next stage... If the dark line is desired, perhaps basecoat the brown with scorched brown rather than khemri and then just paint over the brown to get the lining...

With your base colours, colour in the pattern again, leaving a bit of the darkened colours showing, don't worry too much though. This provides a fuzzy dark line between the colours. Skip this if you didn't do the devlan mud wash.

Drybrush gently with khaki and then bleached bone to highlight.

Where it's a bit chalky glaze with your base colours to tone it down. I found this to mostly be on the green.

Now mix about 50-50 thraka green and devlan mud washes, and do an all over wash. Don't let it pool too much.

Finally drybrush up the bottom with some muddy brown colour (I used VMC 147 leather brown).
