BarmyAndy
Just a quick question, the black and red shin marking in the pictures in the codex. Are they the standard markings for a space wolvels dred? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191680-dreadnaught-markings/ Share on other sites
Wolf Guard Hengist
I think those colours could represent the fact the Dreadnought was a Grey Hunter in his previous form. As far as I am aware there is no set scheme for those markings so you are free to choose what you think looks best, it could be black and white if you fancied your dread as an ex Long Fang etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191680-dreadnaught-markings/#findComment-2274637 Share on other sites
Oldenhaller
If i remember rightly from the original Bjorn painting article they wanted something which was akin to the pack markings for the current long fangs/grey hunters but represented something slightly more archaic... presume it's just an extension of this -O Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191680-dreadnaught-markings/#findComment-2274673 Share on other sites
littlbitz
The 2nd ed. codex states that the marking refers to his early days as a warrior and is an archaic form of those currently used by Space Wolves.
