KhornateKiller Posted February 5, 2010 Share Posted February 5, 2010 Hey Folks, Well i normally live over on throneofskulls.com but thought would post this up in here to get some opinions. Im entering a comp on TOS and its for a squad. Basic rules are that must be a codex legal squad and must feature the mark of khorne somewhere on it. So after look through Dan The Demons Thread i really thought his work was fantasic and it really inspired me to want to paint some NightLords. As they are undivided it wouldnt be an issue putting Khorne on them, And for the older ones with us, I believe way back in the day the were alined with Khorne, So i figure "Jobs a Good Un " ;) So anyway its going to be a 10 man squad and so far this is what i have come up with. Dan The Deamon Posted February 5, 2010 Share Posted February 5, 2010 They look suitably angry for Night Lords ;) I like the customization you've put into each of them and they all have a little bit of character. I like the banner with sword, heavy bolter marine, and the 'Knight' with shield and halberd. The Night Lord kit and the zerk kit work well together. Looking great! The running pose with the overextended reach really make it look like he's about to smash something. I will give him a KhornateKiller personal Icon. Do you think the winged backpack works as the NightLords wings on the back of the khorne symbol, If so How would you suggest modeling it on to the back ? They don't worship Chaos Undivided either. They don't worship Chaos at all. To them, Chaos is a tool. Though I do think that a few of their number would fall into worshipping it. Trying....so...hard..... :woot: KK They look great, you are making good progress. As for the banner it's huge! I can't think of a good way to incorporate the wings into the khorne symbol. I like what you did with the defiler head. I would suggest putting the banner on someones backpack and shortening the height a little bit. That way it doesn't look too top heavy. Danacus the Destroyer looks awesome! I like the blue you are using and it's coming out really well. What if you were to paint one fist or shoulderpad red in honor of Khorne. Indeed Mr BlackAdder it is !!! :devil: I knew there were khorne in RT era, But anyway enough of that lets talk about the models :D @Dan Yeah i was thinking about doing that TBH as thats what the Berzerkers do if im not mistaken. PUtting the icon on another model would work, Or i was think ditch the khorne icon and put the NL one on top the banner instead as i have plenty of khorne symbols in the army already and maybe just a couple small ones coming off the the wings or something on chains ? My rather hasty post was meant to explaining Trygon why your Night Lords are Khornete. I posted the picture because as they say -picture is worth a thousand words.
