SJumppanen
So, it is legal to have single WG run around on its own? For example if i have WG terminator that goes usualy with Long Fangs, but in Dawn of War scenario LFs would use their Razorback to get to position leaving that Terminator without a squad to join. Hfran Morkai
If he's the only member of the Wolf Guard pack who isn't assigned to a pack then yes. However if the other members of his pack have a pack of their own then he would have to remain part of it. If you assign a Wolf Guard Terminator (I assume with Cyclone Missile Launchers) to the Long Fangs pack, then the squad may not embark in any transport that cannot carry a Terminator (meaning they can only use Drop Pods purchased for them, or Land Raiders), regardless of the scenario. In this instance (Dawn of War), the pack would have to walk onto the battlefield. At least, that s my interpretation. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191806-wg-running-on-its-own/#findComment-2276201 Share on other sites
Schertenleib
So the question is ... are Wolf Guard assigned to packs before or after the mission and deployment rolls? Schertenleib
So if all the other Wg are assigned then he could be on his own. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/191806-wg-running-on-its-own/#findComment-2276228 Share on other sites

SJumppanen
So the question is ... are Wolf Guard assigned to packs before or after the mission and deployment rolls? After obiviously, or least in this case after because missions are pre designated before i make final decision that i'm going to participate the tournament. Anyway, i would say that you choose in that moment when you put the figures to the table. Battle-Brother Wags
I was always under the impression that you couldn't have a squad of only WG unless you had at least 3 of them. A single WG wouldn't meet this requirement . . . I suppose I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem likely that you would have a squad without a minimum size, as is usually standard. BlackSpike
If you buy 3 WG, and assign one to a Scout Pack, and one to a Grey Hunters Pack then yes, you have one left all on his lonesome. Poor guy! Right, because that WG running around by himself is not actually a squad of 1. He is part of a squad of 3 - which is in compliance with the rules - but his squadmates have been sent off to act as leaders for other squads.
