(Here) I went back and re-took my photos under a different light and now the colors are more accurate and they look much clearer. I didn't have the money to get the Foundation paints needed, so I used Bleached Bone and a mix of Blood Red and Red Gore in their stead. The ink shading was done with Windsor & Newton #954 Nut Brown ink. If you're wondering what that is on the purity scroll at his waist, that was supposed to be a maze. In a bit of the chapter fluff (which oddly enough I can't seem to find), it's said that Initiates have to overcome a maze trial in order to progress to the Scout company. I decided any marine would like to keep a little reminder of how they came to be, thus the map of his maze on his armor. I also added more belt pouches than I normally do, as well as adding the Scout belt pouch with the grenade and cable attached. This guy's prepared for any kind of obstacle. The leg with the skull on the kneepad I had brutally cut from a Death Company model with my craft knife, seeing as I lacked anything better. Personally I think it went on pretty well considering I didn't have any greenstuff to use on it. The flags on the beast skull were simple strips of printer paper and the beast skull banner pole was taken from the Ork Nobz kit. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
