Red Scorpions Chapter Master Androctonus Crassicauda

I'm new to B&C and have been building GW WH40K now for about 4 years.

This is my take on Vulkan He'stan, done before GW released their mini. He is called Androctonus Crassicauda which is a type of Middle East and African scorpion, tanslated it means Fat Tailed Man Killer, here's the wiki link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fattail_scorpion

His body and arm is from a Techmarine, the cloak from a Chaos Lord, the Gauntlet is a power fist and haevy flamer (may change this a bit, not sure on the heavy flamer) The blade is from a Dark Eldar vehicle, Aquillas are from the Space Marine Commander back pack, green stuffed to the cloak.

Comments appreciated.

Regards

yeah i don't know about that heavy flamer either bud, it seems alittle weird on the fron of the glove, try mounting it on the back of the power glove like the grey knight storm bolter or on the bottom of the fist like Vulkan's Forge Gauntlet. Sorry it just looks unbelievable as it is now. Also the blade on the axe doesn't quite seem to scale with the model, just seems alittle too... big i guess is the best word i can think of now.

Otherwise great conversion buddy! i can't wait to see the final and painted model!!!

That is one heck of a power weapon! :) Just ornate enough to get away with it without looking to big.

Overall I like it, but I'll have to admit that I'm not a fan of the flamer, since it's on the side it looks to much "gangsta" for a marine. I'd say fiddle around with it a bit more and see what you can come up with

Chapter Master? Oh, you mean Red Scorpions Lord High Commander Verant Ortys, who showed up in Imperial Armor VII: Siege of Vraks 3? :P

That little quibble aside, that's one mean looking power weapon there, though using the pewter techmarine with its mechanicus artificer armor seems iffy, considering the Red Scorpions' love of Mark IV power armor.

Espada

I wasn't aware of the official chapter master, I had this idea before IA7 came out and therefore I wasn't aware of the his "official" his existancethe.

I wanted something that would fit in with the terminators size wise and this seemed the best option at the time. I think once painted in official RS colours it will look okay.

Currently converting up my own Chaplain based on Cassius, as well as a TH/SS Vanguard sergeant!
