Salamanders Chaplain [LPC]

Well for my LPC I shall be painting a kit bashed chaplain - salamanders style! Dragons! Fire! Rawr! I expect to start painting it tomorow or the day after. I'm also confused of how to enter into the LPC, if I'm supposed to message someone or post somewhere so I just posted it here

I, Lard O' Blood of the Salamanders, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least one kit bashed chaplain on or before the 31st of March, 2010. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done.

Has anyone noticed how many chaplain like peices the DA upgrade has?

Thats pretty cool! I always liked the Dark Angel bits though it does make your chaplain look a little Dark Angel like himself, But once it's painted that shoudn't be too much of a problem at all. How did you get the helmet to fit into the chest plate with the high collar?

3 steps to using those torsos,

1: Cover the bottom of the neck thing in glue

2: stick it in the torso head place

3: at first the head might be resting on the collar looking up, but you can move it back and deeper in (This however means the head is farther back in the helmet and takes up the entire collar)

Sorry for double post, but updated with black basecoat. Next WIP should come right before I start on the metallics and armor highlights. Sorry for the blurry pictures. ;)

As you can see there are a bunch of things that need touch ups before metallics and highlights but I'm almost there.

Things left:

Touch ups where I got sloppy

Metallics

Highlights

touch ups to highlights and metallics

Sorry for the double post again. Now finished! Im guessing some of you will notice he doesn\\\'t have a skull helmet or even have a bone colored helmet - thats intentional, partly to make him different and partly because I don\\\'t have a skull to use or suitable paints to detail a skull without to much trouble.
