I've also got 3 terminator squads (2 from Space Hulk & 1 heavily converted to a similar BA level) These projects should keep me occupied until the new releases come out in time for my birthday in April :(

Demoulius
a fine looking force brother :ermm: small question: is the DC and chaplain made for gaming wise or fluffwise? havent seen many walking DC models ;)
douchie
a fine looking force brother :ermm: small question: is the DC and chaplain made for gaming wise or fluffwise? havent seen many walking DC models ;) I'm pretty new to 40k & originally painted the figures how they came. Since joining this site & seeing all the Death Company with jump packs, I've been toying wth the idea of sticking jump pack on them. Either that or stick them in a razorback. What are the benefits & drawbacks of these options gaming wise?
Demoulius
well drawback or footslogging DC is the fact that they cant charge out of a moving rhino (except if the new dex somehow magicly changes this off course :P) and you cant buy them a razorback so it would need to bought somewhere else and the marines placed in it after deployment (which would be pretty hard during dawn of war deployment...) it would also limit the size of your DC to 5 man if you want to include the chapy. (taking the rhino if it becomes bigger maybe) the benefit of the jump packs is that you can ignore terrain by jumping over it, forcing your opponent to keep the 18 inch charge range in mind. the jumppacks also dont become obsolete when your opponent fire stuff at them whilst the rhino can break down easily... but tbh, unless you really want to you dont HAVE to take jumppacks. ive seen multiple players use rhino mounted RAS, i see no reason why a rhino mounted DC also wouldnt be a viable option  comes down to preference i guess... douchie
Thanks for the clarification, I think jump packs would be best for how I'm intending to use them. Guess I'll be scanning ebay for jump packs
Frostbit3
GW sells just jump packs by themselves now. They are not expensive. Painting wise, I really like your style. Also, you clearly put time into the small details.

Demoulius
nice progress douchie :) quik question, what head did you use for sgt proximo?
douchie
The head is from the ultramarines scout sgt, telion, telios or something. I used his body as the frame for my scout sgt & just has the head lying around on my modelling table. I was just pottering around last night & decided the head was too nice not to use. titan136
REALLY REALLY NICE! i love the grittiness of your blood angels. your painting style is more realistic whereas a lot of people go for neatness. that rhino is just gorgeous!

douchie
+1And that sarge is really cool  It's +1 purely for gaming reasons, so that I can interchange the melta guy with a standard assault marine depending upon available points etc. Glad you like the Sgt, I did a few subtle amendments to the vet marine figure to make him more BA like I've just finished the new base for Captain Memnon, & I think it does him more justice than the last one. I'll post pics when I finish the Vindcator & Rhino I'm curently working on.
