Gamezone Fenris wolves

Yeah, Ive seen those... to bad nothing on game zone is designed to work with anything made by GW... wrong sizes, wrong names, not even in the same genre most of the time... *sighs*

Because they are beautiful and amazing miniatures, and if they were at all compatable, not priced in euros with shipping I cant afford, Id have an entire fantasy army based on them.

But of course theyre not compatable, because that would be dangerously close to breaking GW IP rights.

Making large wolves in 28mm is hardly even close to infringing on GW copyright.

No, but calling them fenris"ian" wolves might. Or what about Chaos Trolls?

Good thing these guys dont do that, so GW has no reason to look at them, right.

So I can continue to try and purchase their product, right?

Nope, Norse Mythology has this big pup named Fenris, big enough to swallow the sun, so calling a big freaking wolf-like critter a 'Fenris Wolf' is perfectly acceptable and doesn't touch anyone's IP.

GW doesn't even own the 8-pointed star of Chaos, or the concept of 'Chaos' as a force, no matter how loudly their legal department claims they do (Michael Moorcock does, and *his* publisher's legal department keeps an eye on GW).

they are compatable.... the names are all done differently, to be within copyright... the models are designed for Warhammer, and are all pretty nice (plus DRgaming, i think we do cheaper postage, we are based in UK as well....)

Do You plan to do some FW stuff as well?

You really, really dont get sarcasm do you?

I must admit I only understood part of Grey mage's sarcasm as well. Did not understand that the entire "compatibility" thing was a sarcasm. But now that I know: It was a brilliant sarcasm!

I think they are terrible B)

The anatomy is wrong for me.

Is this a sarcasm?? Except for the mouth of the angry one, it is probably the best anatomy I have seen on any wolf miniature. At least the best anatomy I have seen on a wolf miniature that is not entirely naturalistic (and thus boring).

I think they are terrible

They are alot better than anything wolfy GW has come up with. I like them even better than most of the strange Thunder Wolf Conversions most people have come up with. Why is it so hard to produce a good looking wolf model, when horses and the like seem to be no problem.

I use a lot of Gamezone models in my fantasy Dark Elf army.

i like them, and will more then likely get then when i have the money, they are the best wolves i have seen for the job. and i have to say it is the first time i have heard about the company and like some of their other products, not that it will save me any money.
