Simple MOTW setup

I was thinking on how to properly model MOTW on a budget, and it came to me after watching 13th Warrior.

In that film, a proper angry viking was weilding two axes, so, I went the extra mile and armed my MOTW model with two Chainswords. So far, it looks pretty good.

Has anyone else found a simple way to denote a model with MOTW?

Yeah, I've found a real simple way: my MotW models all have a unique shoulder pad that is different than the pad used for the rest of their pack. Each MotW uses the Wolf Skull and Crossbones shoulder pad.

i use the wulfen models from my old 13th company army also, but have ran out of them after my 12th Grey Hunter Pack...

i advised a friend to use the wolf helmuts out of the new sprues, and give them a red snout. it looks good.

If I were to run models with the mark I would probably use weapons from the Black Templar sprue with the chains, so that he doesn't lose his bolt pistol, the chainsword is less of an issue but he could always throw it at someone and haul it back in.

Incidentally I've made a pack of Blood Claws with those weapons (having shaved off the Templar details) to represent them being young and perhaps a bit too eager.

In the space wolves pack, there is a little wolf head pole to place on the backpack, with a rune on the head, I use that, a "lunging" pose, and the wolf head helmet as my mark of the wolfen, I don't even have to tell my opponents that thats what they are everyone just assumes correctly.
Yea, I actually made them quite insane. I heated up the bodies so I can bend them a bit. I have him twirling with two chainswords. His left leg is up in the air, and his left arm is held up high and his right hand is held horizontally while he's looking to the right to his victim.

I did two things:

1. Equipped them with dual chainswords

2. Used the back pack banner that has the wolf head with knife.

I understand people using Wulfen models for MotW, but I keep looking at the fluff that MotW are just marked, not completely turned just yet. So I try to keep them a little less "wolfed" out.

Any chance you could snap a quick picture of this? I'd like to see it.
