WolfScout86
What is the potential of a squad of say 5 WG with jump packs? Would it be worth the price? WolfScout Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192378-wg-with-jump-packs/ Share on other sites
TiguriusX
Potential is great but the price is prohibitive A 5 man squad runs you 215 with no upgrades Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192378-wg-with-jump-packs/#findComment-2284021 Share on other sites
Bulweih
I got a pack of 8 and they are rightfully called the "kingslayers". Their potential is enormous, but the same is their cost. I play a lot of large games, I wouldn't really suggest them to you, if you don't :P . WolfScout86
I was just thinking of a small number perhaps just 3 or so in a 2k match, just like the thought of there being a group of bloodclaws being reassigned to skyclaws and then just refusing to die killing numerous foes etc. then being promoted to wolfguard for thier efforts still keeping their packs Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192378-wg-with-jump-packs/#findComment-2284348 Share on other sites
AdeptusDavidus
The notion of a small pack of jump-pack Wolf Guard toting storm bolters keeps taunting me. I'm sure it's a horrible idea, but the thought of a small elite pack deep striking into the fight to provide fire support just seems far, far too cool. saphius
Three or four with combi-meltas deep striking isn't too bad. - Still more costly than I think it's worth though... Wolf Lord Cuneglas
I keep wanting to try TH//SS Jump pack troops. But it seems to come close to the 100 pt per model mark.....but it would be awesome! Grey Mage
I use a pair of them, and find them reasonably effective for their cost. The problem is, a pair of WGBLs is twice as effective for about half again the cost *shrugs*. Wildfire
I still get annoyed every time I think about HQs leading squads over WG. If it's too embarrasing for Wolf Guard to fly around, how is it less embarrasing for higher ranking HQs? Not to mention the inconsistancy that Wolf Guard only find flying around with blood claws offensive, but flying with each other is just fine. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192378-wg-with-jump-packs/#findComment-2285759 Share on other sites

I think skyclaws should be able to take a WGPL. Since they cant, Ill put a WGBL in their... hes just a more impressive WGPL anyways.
