Ayura
So whats the difference? I thought charriots were considered cavalry but from reading people saying theyre slow, im thinking twise, also they get more buffs and are cheaper points, why cheaper then a juggernaught? Cheers! Ntin
A Herald on a Juggernaut is still an independent character. You also get the extra point of toughness on a Juggernaut. Honestly though it is hard to justify a Herald of Khorne. A nicely kitted out Herald of Khorne on a Juggernaut will cost about 125 points. It cannot do anything that three Bloodcrushers could not do for the same point cost. Ayura
But what about a skulltaker on a juggernaught ? does the jugganaught and the charriot move at same speed? Ntin
Juggernaut is an infantry and the Chariot is cavalry so no, they do not move the same speed. Not sure about Skulltaker on a Juggernaut the point cost almost seems like you should just go for a Bloodthirster. Actually in the Daemonic steed entry about the chariot the unit type does not change so the chariot of Khorne remains infantry. (besides it is pulled by a Juggernaut so why being faster?) Try Skulltaker on a Juggernaut against the new tyranids, he is awesome!!!! Corpse.
I use 2 heralds all the time. 2 on chariots, deep strike and offer great cover for a unit at an angle that would take lots of heavy bolter fire, etc.. Though I sometimes like to run regular heralds inside units for the extra rending attacks when a dread might charge the unit. Primarch16
If you are taking a herald of khorne/skulltaker then put him on a chariot. Its cheaper and more effective. The loss of IC status may seem bad, but having more units is more effective. If you drop the herald with juggers in a unit next to an enemy, next turn he is just going to run away from you. If you drop the juggers in front of a unit and the herald in chariot behind them, he has nowhere to run. Give your enemy multiple targets, that way he cant get out of an assault.
