Duel frost weapons? (i know...)

before you say anything i did use the search function and found nothing.

 

Now, here the Senario, Wolf lord on Thunderwolf with 2 frost axes, does this make him strength 7? I didnt see anything in the FAQ or the rule book, it says that a model armed with 2 special close combat weapons gets +1 attack along with any bonuses those weapons confer (or close too that)

 

Also i won a canis wolfborn model in a tournement today and have come up with a wolf lord setup,

lord-TWM-Belt of russ-2 frost weapons-wolf tooth necklace and maybe a saga. thoughts?

You can only use 1 special close combat weapon and gain its benefits. The other, if eligible, simply gives you +1 Attack.

 

Example, Wolf Claw and Frost Blade. You do not get +1 Strength and re-roll wounds. You get either or.

Page 82 of the rule book:

 

Two of the SAME special weapons:

the model gains one additional attack. all of their attacks, including the bonus attack, benefit from the special weapon's(this is were it specifies that the bonus for the weapon type apply not both weapons together) bonuses and penalties.

 

so you get +1 S for the mount, +1 S for a frost weapon, and +1 attack for two frost weapons......

That is referring to the primary special weapon used, not to the one not used. It's simply saying that the extra attack does not use the secondary weapon's profile. Or do you believe that a model with two power fists strikes at S16?

Yes- but its pretty explicit about you only getting the bonus once. As pointed out by Master Direfang, its a possessive s, not a plural s, and thus refers to the bonus given by that type of weapon, not the the bonuses provided by multiple weapons.

 

Example: a pair of PFs gives you +1 A at str 8, not +1 A at str 10.

NO NO NO! You cannot do this. Read your rulebook and stop trying to twist the rules. The rules are perfectly clear on this point, see page 82 of the rulebook. Learn to play fair.

How am i trying to cheat? I was simply asking about a rule i thought was valid. Im not twisting the rules, just asking about one. i did read the rulebook and misinterpereted it. Thank you for answering.

Just stick with one frost blade and you should be fine.

A Strength 6 Wolf Lord (Using TWM and a Frost Blade) still shouldn't be sniffed at, it's nasty.

Give him a Wolf Tail Talisman too. Wolf Tooth Necklace on a Wolf Lord might be a waste of points but if you can spare it then take it.
