daemonclaw
hey all ,i have been toying with the idea of making new sonic blasters to go with slaanesh marines as i feel the metal ones are too bulky and unweildy for an assault weapon ,so i shrank mine down and here are the results http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN5562.jpg with old sonic blaster comparison http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN5563.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN5566.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN5567.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN5568.jpg and comparison shot with old sonic blaster http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN5569.jpg comments and constructive crit welcome cheers D  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192523-slaanesh-marines/ Share on other sites
Montuhotep
This is very clever and much more fitting when, as you say, you consider what their intended effect is - how did you make them? I spy a plasmagun and a lascannon cable in there, what else? Sepsis the Unclean
I like your greenstuff skills, can't fault what you have done with the sonic blaster. Shrinking it has obviously given you the oppurtunity for a decent dynamic pose, while the GW blaster would limit how you could pose the marine. I think GW should take a leaf outta your book and shrink theirs. Korraz
That is so awesome, it makes me like Slaanesh! And that as a sworn Khornite. I want to see more of that. And I want to sculpt like that...I have to do more GS-Work :/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192523-slaanesh-marines/#findComment-2285913 Share on other sites

daemonclaw
thanx for the comments .as for the parts ,i toyed with plasma guns and flamers turned upside down and cabling from terminator power weapons ,the top handle is a lower scope off a tau pulse carbine and bits off a backpack .and the faces are off the chaos vehicle sprue.here is another one a little bulkier but still alot smaller and usable http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN5564.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/daemonclaw/DSCN5565.jpg cheers for looking D :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192523-slaanesh-marines/#findComment-2287248 Share on other sites
Sepsis the Unclean
Thanks for the info daemonclaw, it's been refreshing to see this thread as Emperors Children do have a tendancy to get overlooked by Chaos players (myself included!) I've got a few chaos terminators and some more berzerkers still to do but your work has definetly inspired me to do some Noise Marines sometime in the future. If permitted to 'use' your idea of course. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192523-slaanesh-marines/#findComment-2287886 Share on other sites
Brother Nihm
Amazing Sonics. Well done. :) Do you have any tips to share as to how you made the vent/grille on your marine's chest-plate? Brother Nihm
Cheers for that! Personally I think you should go with the muted pink and black, it looks killer. warflag
Impressing sonic weapons. I second your thoughts on the size of the originals. These conversions are not for beginners, looking at how exact you cut out the parts you put together for this. The paint comes along very well too. lord gunthar
Those noise marines are drop dead gorgeous !. Only one crit you should cut off the tips of the fingers and thumb on left hand of the noise marines holding the sonic blasters with two hands, and resculpt them so they are bending over, just to make them a little more realistic looking. Other than that they are truly amazing. Cheers. Lord gunthar.
