Eltnot
Sacred StandardAny unit with the Adeptus Sororitas rule with a model within 6" of the Sacred Standard adds +1 to its combat resolution score in an assault, ie, it counts as having inflicted one more casualty than it actually did. The above is quoted from the Witch Hunters Codex page 22. Now for the rules query. If I had two Celestian Bodyguard units with models from both units within 6" of the other's banner bearer, would each unit receive +2 to it's combat resolution (one from their own banner and one from being within the 6" of the other's banner)? I'm inclined to think that this would be the case, but I thought I'd put it before others before trying it in a game. The ramifications being that if both celestian retinues charged the same target, they would start off with a +4 combat resolution before even hurting anything with the eviscerators. Eltnot
Just noticed this in the errata but don't see anything in the codex. If someone can clarify? The second printing of the Codex clarifies thatthe effects of multiple sacred standards cumulative. WarriorFish
As it is in the Errata/Second Printing section of the FAQ then so shall it be! So you must have a first print codex if it's missing, but it still applies all the same. Just print the FAQ out if you're worried about someone questioning it :) It's fair I think, as anyone who has 2 Sacred Standards and keeps them close deserves the bonus! Eltnot
Yeah just checked my copy of the codex at home which is a second printing (as opposed to the pdf I checked at work). The second printing adds the following line: The effect of multiple Sacred Standards is cumulative. They could have just put this in the errata... WarriorFish
I agree. It makes sense superficially to update reprints but this just leads to confusion when you get different editions floating around. The main thing is that the issue is clarified though, which is more than can be said for most!
