Brother Nihm
Consider your excellent Obliterator weapons team idea stolen, stabbed, and butchered! And here is the first pair. Yes, I finally managed to finish something - victory! That leaves me with about 5 kilos of plastic in need of paint. Note that I've removed the attempt at highlights on the melta-gunner's power pack (exhausts) since the photos were taken. Additional pictures in my blog. Dan The Deamon
 I love them! I'm also kind of embarrassed yours already has paint. Mine are collecting dust at the black primer stage. Do you leave the armor joints black? or have you started them yet. I really like the paint scheme because they aren't too bright. They appear to be in a grim/dark environment and they're not shiny. I like the Team Leaders backpack and the red you're using. thrudd
These look great. How did you do the black on the guns? Looks smooth, with good depth. titan136
Looks great, I was thinking about this idea for my pre-heresy luna wolves but with 3 guys (1 kneeling in front, 2 in the back), nice to see that it can be done. thanks for sharing Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192850-night-lords-heavy-weapons-team/#findComment-2290694 Share on other sites
Scathainn
That is just...awesome. Ima have to nab that idea for my Death Guard, so I suppose a second-gen steal! mega_marines
Oh Good God...I did the same conversion...I get a feeling if we all show up on the same table, our squads will just look over at each other and go 'Oh...hey?" Terminatorinhell
That's an awesome idea! The plasma gun came out nicely. Consider the idea stolen :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192850-night-lords-heavy-weapons-team/#findComment-2292680 Share on other sites
Justicar Valius
Very nice indeed, that plasma cannon is awseomely painted! Makes me, a DH player want some plasma cannons :) Please the recipe for just the end of the plasma cannon would be great! Brother Nihm
Thank you all! Do you leave the armor joints black? or have you started them yet.Sadly the photo doesn't do the black justice but it is Chaos Black that is highlighted with a mix of Chaos Black + Codex Grey (50-50), then washed with Badab and retouched with thinned Codex Grey. These look great. How did you do the black on the guns? Looks smooth, with good depth. As above! Please the recipe for just the end of the plasma cannon would be great!Do you mean the barrel (gold), the 'glowing' bits, or another thing entirely? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192850-night-lords-heavy-weapons-team/#findComment-2293563 Share on other sites
Seregon
Looking good, as always! Especially like the plasma muzzle. I never could decide on a way of doing my skulls. Would you mind sharing your recepie, both for the normal ones as well as the freehand? Brother Nihm
The skulls are fairly simple and fast to do. Basecoat Bestial Brown. Thin basecoat of Codex Grey. Thinned Bleached Bone. Bleached Bone. Skull White as the final highlights. And that's it. :tu: Edit: that includes the freehand skulls as well.
