Hmmmmmmm.... This sounds like i'm right. Seems like IP is talking about Istvaan III. Can we get any Names please?

Actually the heresy started on Aureas at he end of False Gods, which had the world eaters and Sons of Horus

Your link seemed broken - so here is the new one: Garro: Legion of One - Audio Clip

I agree that does seem as though it is Loken, after all we all know he survives!

"Do you hear me? DO YOU HEAR?!"

The voice actor seems to be John Shrapnel, his voice is excellent for an audio book.

The new codex has the founding members of the GK as loyalists from the traitor legions. Also the GK geneseed is just geneseed modified to be anathema to chaos, not from the emperor.

The rumour of these lot being the founding Grey Knights is a good one, but i heard Jim Swollow say to someone who raised that idea to him his reply was simply "Don't be too sure".

Also I am not sure if people remember but Loken as blond hair so the guy on the front is not him. Plus Jim Swollow as already revealed before that the guy on the front is a Son of Horus called Rubio anyway.

But this tale does allegedly take place on Istvaan III so who knows perhaps Loken does appear in it, or his body is found.

Well that don't help in the slightest hmmmm. None the less Loken was blond haired, perhaps its Iacton Qruze then.

Damn it i double checked the name, my own mistake the name mentioned was Cerberus, dont know how i came up with Rubio.

Cerberus is the name Loken calls himself after he almost loosed his mind. Fair hair or no it /is/ Loken. Not that you can tell the color of this Astartes hair as it is short. Seems for some Loken will be dead no matter what you show them to prove them wrong.

At one point in the codex it mentions "the emperor's flesh" as a component in the new Grey Knights.

I just finished listening to it now, Spoilers will follow so if you've not heard it then stop reading now.

---------------

Alright, let's get the obvious out of the way shall we? Yes, the world is located on the same one where the Legions were purged of all loyalists. Yes, Cerberus is Loken. Torgaddon or Tarvitz also makes an appearance as a headless corpse, though he goes unnamed.

Interestingly the World Eaters loyalist, Captain Varren, finally appears along side Garro and Rubio. Like with everything else they've worked his story to try and finally sort out the whole canon mix up involving the Eisenstein.

On the whole the audio was pretty damn enjoyable, it was everything Oath of Moment should have been and it was very fun to listen to. Interesting bits such as follow ups on Garro's beliefs in the Emperor and Loken's insane ramblings to himself were very well done and well acted.

Like with James Swallow's Blood Angels series, I think the Garro audios suffered from his usual trait of writing. For every good book featuring a conclusion to simething he tends to create lacklustre ones which only seem to really serve the role of setting up the next story. You could probably just skip Oath of Moment and go straight to this if you wanted to, though you'd obviously miss out on the interesting parts involving the Sigilite in that one. If you can stand Toby Longworth's Malcador voice anyway.

Hopefully we might be seeing more of Garro's missions in he future due to his mentions of the other worlds they have visited and recruited from, Prospero for one example. It would also be interesting to see an explanation of how Malcador knew where all these recruits were, how he knew their most recent addition was alive, and how he knew their names.

It is a nice cover but it has one small mistake. Garro has three service studs while he should have only two considering that you get one for each completed century of service.

Different Legions and Chapters vary the stud use. Some may give studs out for 50 years of service, some for certain deeds etc.
