HamishMcGreigh
A project I'd had in mind for a while. Finished it about a year ago and just got around to getting good pics. Meant to get it in for the Golden Bolter, but just couldn't find the time. http://www.wyrd-games.net/photopost/data/500/100_1950.JPG http://www.wyrd-games.net/photopost/data/500/100_1952.JPG http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs234.snc3/22149_108661162481708_100000134754968_229982_7931980_n.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192880-custom-space-wolf-snowmobile/ Share on other sites
Momento Mori
A unique interpretation of Imperial technology :D I like it! The only thing I would've addressed is the mold line down the leg, other than that, awesome! Night Runner
I think it is a fantastic concept. My only critiques would be the leg mold lines as Momento Mori pointed out and the raised left foot that is not touching ground, but that is not your fault. When one exchanges the biker torso with that of a Space Wolf with a normal backpack the fitting is horrible. I overcame this by adding some pelts along the midsection of the SW. So did you mold the ale cup or is it from some kit? Because it made my day. I think I'm going to have to borrow that idea. You know what they say - Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192880-custom-space-wolf-snowmobile/#findComment-2290714 Share on other sites
Terrible_Trygon
lol drink driving... Anyways, I quite like this piece. The way you did the front reminds me of the old jet bike models. Though yes, that is one mighty mould line there. HamishMcGreigh
It's not a mold line, its... uuhhhmmmm  ... spilled ale, running down his armor! Yeah, that's it! Sorry 'bout it. Thought I'd sanded it off and BOY does it pop out in the photo. In more natural, diffuse light, it's not as bad, but yeah... Anyhoo, the mug of foamy ale started life as a melta bomb. It was more of a proof of concept piece really. The treads are off the old ork warbike, so it might be a little more complicated to make another one, but the plan was to build a whole squad of them at rest for a diorama, sharing some brews while their pet wolves tear apart the carcasses of the orks they all just clobbered. I wouldn't mind seeing it copied or redone at all, and I appreciate the fact that anyone wants to do it. Thanks. canada steve
Nice model, well done. Shame about the mould line and personally I would have built the front to be more streamlined as the flat front doesnt work for me, but thats my personal opinion and how most snow-mobiles tend to be. Midas
Other than the mold line and this could just be me, but anyway, can you make him have a bottom row of teeth? lol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192880-custom-space-wolf-snowmobile/#findComment-2293429 Share on other sites
