LardO'Blood
Well, I traded all my AoBR orks for a friends AoBR marines so I decided to convert a second venerable for my collection. Since I had a DA upgrade lying around I decided to make it a dark angel dreadnought, now, my questions are: Are venerable dreadnoughts in the DA promoted automatically to the deathwing? or do they remain in their previous company? If upgraded to the deathwing, do they get deathwing paint scheme? Also, are there veterans other then TDA veterans in the dark angel chapter? If so, what color are they? Bone or green? Thats all my questions, on to the pictures! (Currently I am spray painting on a basecoat) http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/776/img1848r.jpg http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/844/img1851h.jpg Just realized the arms aren't on, no biggy, they're just standard MM and DCCW with SB, no modifications. Cain Tiberius Kondrad
Each company within the DA (with probably the exception of the 10th company) have veterans that are form into veteran squads. They are on the path to being initiated into the 1st Company, and there fore the Death Wing. But at this stage they are not Death Wing themselves. They are generally the one picture in Robes, but they do not have TDA. Only PA which is green. The TDA is reserved for the 1st Company only. Most DA dreadnaughts stay with the company they were formaly a part of, as is the custom with most chapters. I don't ever remember seeing any Dreads in the C:DA in the bone colour. But I do seem to remember seeing a few on here. So I would say, sure, go for it :yuck: CTK Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192983-venerable-conversion/#findComment-2292129 Share on other sites
LardO'Blood
Mkay, so my plan right now is this, Silver trim Beige/Bone Armor plating DA green on the helmet, maybe the shoulder pad and part of the shield. CC welcome before I start painting. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192983-venerable-conversion/#findComment-2292135 Share on other sites
GI Joker
I'm pretty sure there is a picture of a bone white dread in the DA codex. I painted my venerable bone to differentiate them from the regular one. Talhydras
there are bone coloured dreadnoughts. dreadnoughts that come from the first company (i.e. when warriors from the first company are in it) remain bone-coloured. I like the simple conversion on the dreadnought, only a little criticism: I would have tried to cut the helmet in order to make it look sunken up to the grille... I think it looks a little superimposed right now Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/192983-venerable-conversion/#findComment-2292273 Share on other sites
