Demoulius Posted February 20, 2010 Share Posted February 20, 2010 hello brothers, for my marines i ussually run my apothecary hero, shotgun scouts, 2 units of tacticals (upgraded with plasma as soon as i can) and then either a dreadnought or an assault squad. ussualy give apoc a power axe so he can offer some form of close combat resistance. also have the upgrade that his heal knocks back attackers (names are escaping me here...) thing is most of the times im having trouble early on with banshees (even with the shotgun scouts) against orks and nids im just swarmed and other marines ussually got a dreadnought before i can get any form of proper anti-tank :D sometimes i take a missle launcher over plasma but it barely ever is enough. how does everyone solve their problems with hordes and/or walkers wrecking their armies? tried devastators but skilled players always work around these so ive stopped relying on them to much... Upgrade to Sergeant for the added blorch of power armour and slam a crap load of metla bombs on the enemy armour. Always keep a squad of Tacticals or a Devostator squad back in cover but close enough to lob covering fire for the Assault Squads. Its not failed me yet, online or offline.
