Dark Sensei
Amazing to see, very refreshing and pleasant minis to see. Hmmm your Warlord doesn't belong to a Legio ? Vaaish
Thanks. I've actually got plenty of warlords already painted up in Legio Gryphonnicus colors and I wanted to try something different. These two are supposed to be used with my Admech epic force or in with other armies as allies to differentiate them from the Legio ones. Vaaish
Well, another week and another round of Epic marines :P This time the first four regular land raiders hit the painting stand. All in all I think they turned out alright although it feels a bit odd since the decal takes up the front and there isn't really any good area for freehand that makes a while lot of sense. I didn't end up making the entire plate black, opting instead to just do the hatch and stormbolter. Next up is a short break from Epic and GW to finish up the next three mechs before returning for the last of the land raiders and another mech. After that perhaps I'll finally get working on my tech marine :) http://www.twolandscreative.com/wip/epic/brlr01.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193057-vaaishs-epic-thread/page/4/#findComment-2848592 Share on other sites

cathar the great
Listen to yourself, man, seriously, freehands? ^_^ You already have highlights, tiny decals and freehanded numbers on your Epic minis and you're sad because that leaves no room for more freehanded stuff... Impressive work again, this blog makes me want to have an Epic force so bad... Vaaish
Well I'm pretty bad at replying to my own thread here :D Thanks! I'm off for the weekend tomorrow going white water rafting and I wanted to get these up before I left. These are the last of the Blood Ravens land raiders before moving into the infantry. I still need to go back and varnish them when I get back Sunday. Overall I'm pretty happy with them. You might notice the color is a bit different than the last few and that's because they were some of the black primed models. I gave them a quick dusting of white to help keep them out of the purple range but the color is still a bit darker. Next up though is a battletech victor mech. The last of the first lance before I FINALLY get to painting my 40k techmarine. If all goes well he and his retinue will be done by Christmas. :) http://www.twolandscreative.com/wip/epic/brraiders02.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193057-vaaishs-epic-thread/page/4/#findComment-2871122 Share on other sites
PorridgeMeister
Holy mothertrucker! Hyaenidae
I'm getting a headache trying to imagine putting all those awesome details on such a small model...ouch. Great job, man! The Normish
So many little tanks. You never cease to astound me with this thread, Vaaish. It's wonderful that you add these little conversions to make the models more appropriate, instead of just using the standard Epic models. Adds flavor and realism, as I see it. Mortarion
Those models would have looked OK if it was 40K sclae. In epic scale, that is amazing! Mercadius
Major props! I used to have an epic squat army and this makes me want to get back into playing 6mm again. DerekLee688
Now I want to see an army of epic laindraiders take on masses of 40k necron scarabs, nid ripper swarms, and ork gretchins. Vaaish
LOL well, I do have the crons, but I'm not allowed to post them here and the nids aren't ready to start painting yet. Feel free to look around here for shots of the crons though :P http://www.twolandscreative.com/wip/epic/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193057-vaaishs-epic-thread/page/4/#findComment-2874485 Share on other sites
Captain Mike
Great lot of models! I'm not sure if it's been asked (or if you can answer) but where are the macharius chassis from? Vaaish
I figured that I'd go ahead and post this as well, but I finished up a couple of correctly scaled epic reaver titans that a guy I paint a lot of the epic stuff for had scratch built. There's one more of these to go and I have plans for it :cuss http://www.twolandscreative.com/wip/epic/ecreaver01.jpg http://www.twolandscreative.com/wip/epic/ecreaver02.jpg http://www.twolandscreative.com/wip/epic/ecreavergroup.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193057-vaaishs-epic-thread/page/4/#findComment-2914826 Share on other sites

Vaaish
And I'm back with more epic stuff. This time it's a SC tactical formation for the Blood Ravens. Unfortunately, it ended up as the test detachment so there are some rough edges. I guess it was a bit hopeful that I could convert the procedures for the vehicles directly to the infantry. Anyway, the next detachment should end up better than these. http://www.twolandscreative.com/wip/epic/brtac01.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193057-vaaishs-epic-thread/page/4/#findComment-2934129 Share on other sites
