Recent work on the Wolves

Hi everone

 

Just some photos on my recently WIP on my Space Wolves. Aim for this year tournament session. The army been work on/off due to real life out wight my time for painting/build, also while I wait for some bits to finish off a few model.

I am still finish off the banner, would like to try get the shadow from the wolf on the moon. I also need to add a bit more highlight to the Wolf head on the banner. Like wise I need to tide up the highlight on the left arm/Dread CCW arm. Also need to finish off the top icon of the banner pole. Along with painting the Wolf Guards terminator eye.

 

For game reason he mainly there for the Heavy Flamer, just think it cool to have a Wolf Guard who will help out his Lord from mortal to dreadnought.

 

One of my Legion of the Damned Object marker, base on the 2nd Ed art work. With the release of the LotD model & being a big fan of them, I just wanted any reason to include them. Since Space Wolves can not taken them as a unit, next best thing is object marker & work some background around it.

I'm still waiting on some Space Wolves Shoulder pads to be donated from friends to finish off the wounded Marine. For those woundering about the Marines legs, they are cut off, not for any battle wound but more because I hate thing like that over hanging on the base. So for reason of the model his legs are still there, just cut off for base reason.

The green stuff beard was help by one of the GW staffer from my local store. It one skill I would like to learn is useing green stuff other than filling in gaps. While the Ork skull a trophies from my tourny list first win vs a Ork hordes, seen me loss a mere one Grey Hunter, Razorback & Dreadnought, while the orks where down to a mere 20 models on turn 3, they give up before my assault on turn 3 :P

I remember that Legion of the Damned picture! Excellently well worked. I really like your Rune Priest, he's got some distinctive character. Most Space Wolves characters look old and grizzled, that guy appears to be still in his prime and looks very much more fiery than taciturn.

wow great models! i love the Rune Priest too, youve also got a nice paint scheme going on those Wolves. im liking the darker grey alot as opposed to the blue thats normally used. great work mate, hope you can add more finished models to you expanding army.
