GLD Posted July 19, 2010 Author Share Posted July 19, 2010 Well it's been a while since I made any updates on this...anyway...first project consisting of a Command Squad, two Tactical Squads and a Devastator Squad has been completed, as has project 2, consisting of two more Tactical Squads. Next up are elements of the !st Co., namely 6 Termie squads, a vanguard squad and a counts-as Lysander... GLD Posted July 26, 2010 Author Share Posted July 26, 2010 Thanks for your kind words...the black is a mixture - firstly, the camera doesn't show it off too well (same for the yellow really) and secondly, I've tried to keep it muted and not as 'extreme' as I would normally...so there is just a quick grey highlight on it... I super-mega love the Vanguard, not just because they're painted well and are the Red Scorps pieces, but because they all have their own character. Where did you get that awesome Thunderhammer? I know that GW sells the PA set, but yours is so different. Its awesome. And your Lysander count as is great. I'll be doing that in a few days as well. Awesome. The Vanguard Thunder Hammer is from the new Death Company kit, and is actually a two piece part - the Terminator thunder hammers are the standard issue in the assault termie box... GLD Posted October 15, 2010 Author Share Posted October 15, 2010 The yellow has been an evolving technique, but basically goes as follows: Iyanden dark sun over White undercoat Sepia wash in the recesses Re-touch the yellow Go over the yellow with a 2:1 mix of golden yellow and iyanden dark sun Add White to the above mix to highlight Hope that helps :( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
