Auretious Taak
Decdoy, the TH isn't the weapon you want. It's the Chainfist. This is because on AVERAGE rolls you PENETRATE AV 14 with one (str 8+7 = 15). You should be going toe-to-toe with any dread out there, losinga wound then destroying the dread. Lone Wolf+TDA+SS+CF = 85pts of win. Cheers, Auretious Taak. Zuaarle
Hmm, I can't be bothered to work it out exactly, but the chance of a Lone Wolf killing all of those models without taking a wound is probably equivalent to winning the lottery whilst being struck by lightning at the same time. Hey! Thats happened to me! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193248-lone-wolves/page/2/#findComment-2299539 Share on other sites

TH looks nicer than a CF though :D (but yeah a CF is better....for tank killing at least, against troops, TH is better, with stun, which it will need against anything half decent, to give it more chance to win combat second time around....) I was thinking about using 3 Lone Wolf's..... but scouts are really useful, and i like Dreads as well..... Schertenleib
I used a Lone Wolf in my last game. Worked very well (nicely squished a TDA Chaos Lord w/ demon weapon). Just wish it had any kind of transport option (Jump packs, bike, Thunderwolf, etc...). Shoot I would be happy with infiltrate or outflank. Hmmm....Lone Wolf Termie with OBEL.... Ooops dreaming at the keyboard again. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193248-lone-wolves/page/2/#findComment-2299875 Share on other sites

wiplash
i took 2 in a game today (in which i utterly annhilated my oponent, losing 1 squad in a 2000 point game XD!!!) although the Lone wolves probably didnt take their points back neither of them died (tbh we dont care about kill points so that is a plus to me) so i think i will be running them again Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193248-lone-wolves/page/2/#findComment-2300542 Share on other sites
Stormshrug
One Lone Wolf cut through ten Ultramarine Terminators, a Chaplain, and Lord, two Ten-man regular squads, and a Land Raider. Another dropped a Leman Russ (allied), a Dreadnaught, an Inquisitor with full retinue, and a 10-man Vanguard Vet squad. Russ has spoken. Promote that guy to Wolf Guard pronto. -Stormshrug Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193248-lone-wolves/page/2/#findComment-2302592 Share on other sites

CarlSkaven
Shame they don't have the Saga of the warrior Born; they deserve it by the sounds of things  They already have warrior eternal and feel no pain! so they are very cheap for that! Athalus
Lone wolves in Kill teams are gonna be scary. With 2 universal rules, adding a third will be quite fun. The question is, can you? Stryke
Should be able to, but you can only take 1 as there are only 0-1 elites in a kill team. Recently started to use a lone wolf as well (TDA,SS,TH) and he seems to be doing well. In his first game (kill points) I kept making death or glory attacks on tank shocks to try and get him killed, but he kept surviving and destroying the tanks :D. I may try one with a chainfist. It's almost worth it to take the F-wolves for the extra wounds, but points are very tight indeed. Haakon Ironheart
Please make a story about them and promote them to Wolf Lords. Such a deed is worth of a great saga and a huge amount of ale...
