How are we going to play "Kill Team"?

You get your troop choices

You have your 1 Elite choice

No Heavies

Units don't need to be in coherency.

3 models can have 3 different USRs.

How will you play it?

I plan on running 5x Wolf Guard Terminators with all kinds of goodness.

Best USRs are: Preferred Enemy, Feel No Pain, Furious Charge.

My Wolf Claw Termie will have Preferred, my Storm Shield one will have FNP, another WC will probably have FC.

The last game I played "Kill team" I used a Lone Wolf in TDA and Grey Hunters for the rest of the points.

Boots on the ground is for me the important part, the more marines I have the less I will feel the casualties.

And the LW is tough as nails and ridicously cheap for what he does. 45 points and you will get FnP, Eternal Warrior a power weapon, 2+, 5++ save and can make him fleet.

I wiped the floor with my opponent with hi, playing a static SM force with two terminators and a missile launcher marine, the rest tacticals.

The detailed list I used:

Lone Wolf - TDA, comi-plasma - Fleet of Foot

9 Grey Hunters

Flamer

Power Sword - FnP

Ordinary GH - Furious Charge

I'd be very tempted to have a guy with furious charge and Mark of the Wulfen. Could be nasty. I'm really looking forward to kill team however this is alot different from the old version which i fell in-love with but never actually played. I'll have to see what gets put on here to know what's good.

Iron Priest and his buddies.

The Iron priest alone is somewhat underwhelming, but still a mean guy in combat, but more of a means to get to the inexpensive cyberwolves and thralls with heavy weapons.

3 Heavy Bolters for 45 points! That's just mean! Even 90 points for 3 plasma cannons... yummy! Or a mixture, of course.

I think a lot of how your list should be built is based around the kind of terrain you play with. If you have lots and lots of buildings, well, a cyber wolf or fenrisian wolves might be a bad choice, apparently climbing is hard! However, if you have lots of open ground, they're even better.

In any case... Iron Priest and his pals seem like a very cost effective, strong choice.

Why not give the Power Weapon guy Furious Charge for more reliable wounding?

The power weapon wielder will with good certainity be shot at quite often, I consider it a good deal to make sure that he gets there and do some damage instead of maybe getting there and do much damage.

I've been thinking about this quite a bit, so far I've gone for fluffy ideas such as the Wolf Blades, but my friend's already doing that, so I've gone for Ragnar's original pack, but made them all grey hunters (just to make them better at range and get the free special weapon :( ), Can't remember all of the names of his pack though, so far I've got Ragnar (MotW and furious charge to represent his berserk nature), Haakon (power weapon, fleet, and yes, he's a grey hunter for this, so I get the special weapon and I don't have to buy 3 wolf guard), Sven (Plasmagun, Relentless), Strybjorn (Meltagun), Lars (Plasma Pistol), 5 as of yet unnamed grey hunters, totalling 195 pts. Anyone remember any other members of their pack?
Where can I get information on kill teams?

In the battle missions book that's coming out soon. However many sites and forums have leaked info on it. Here's a pretty good one from Warseer.

Out of curiosity, anyone know how a lone wolf's inverted kill points rule will work with kill teams?
