Taeken
Is there an official sized game board? It seems a 4' x 4' is the norm. I don't plan on using it for anything other than 2k and below. Raulmichile
4x4 is for games of 1000 points or less and GW stores use it as teaching tables. 6X4 is the standard size for standard games (1500 and above) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193302-game-board/#findComment-2296185 Share on other sites
Taeken
Awesome. Thanks alot. Going to build a 6x4 with markers to use as a 4x4. Double duty that way. Matt D
i use an 8' x 4' at home so that i have a place for drinks modles or rule books. that way i can still have any size i need. something to keep in mind is that 8' x 4' is a standard sheet of plywood. glue down a felt top and you got a quick and cheap table. Valerian
There used to be really good instructions for making a gaming board on the GW website, although I don't think it's there anymore. I followed their directions and made mine four or five years ago. I made 3 sections of 2' x 4' which makes stacking and storage easy. If I can find the directions I'll post them soon. Taeken
I was thinking about cuting it down to 2 3'x4' sections. Then I could put a T & G system to hold them together while playing. A few 2" slots on each side with the corrisponding tab (prolly Alluminium or ABS plastic for str). Should be good for storage and I won't break it as easily. I tend to bust things that are not made strong :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193302-game-board/#findComment-2296950 Share on other sites

Is there an official sized game board? he asked for the official size not the standard size actually, technically there is no 100% official size only a designed size and designed does not mean official, its whatever size you want and can accommodate in the room you choose.
