CainTheHunter
Has anybody tried using panzerfist formations? I finished assembling third Rhino and placed it on a shelf, next to other 2 and in front of Land Raider. And then I though if it a viable tactic to use some sort of wedge formation, where three rhinos are escorting LR, popping smokes and giving cover to LR, while LR is giving cover for at least one rhino by its side. Of course if the front Rhino and one of the side rhinos gets popped the LR is stuck for a turn... The idea would be to deliver WG termies/lots of BC with Ragnar and WP safely across the table, supported by GH troops from rhinos. Of course, I'd have to use a denied flank tactic and deploy everything together. Long Fangs, maybe two packs will provide cover fire, protected by Dread, while WS and speeders will keep opponent busy as long as they last. Has any body tried this? Wildfire
Using one transport to shield another is a standard tactic around these parts. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193341-panzerfist-tactics/#findComment-2297134 Share on other sites
Natanael
Yeh. Using just one Rhino popping smoke to cover another one or two is common tactics for me and my mates. As I read in an old WD "the rhino 'creep' is better in most cases then the rhino 'rush'." Used it today, actually againt imperial fists. Then again, he dropped two ironclads and kille my rhinos anyway =D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193341-panzerfist-tactics/#findComment-2297157 Share on other sites
sonofwaranddeath
yeah, I always fancied the rhinos playing leapfrog and popping smoke. Works well for my guard too.
