Mr.Millar
I have scrapped the chaplain model and have re-used the parts, see bottom of page. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193418-librarian-conversions/ Share on other sites
Golindar
I really like it. It just occured to me that my army is also lacking a chaplain. I hope you don't mind if I use yours for inspiration. I think a TH/SS termie would be a good candidate for a chaplian in Terminator armor. Thanks for sharing! Telliphas
Looking good, I'm also lacking a chaplain for my force and should really get around to kit bashing one. One thing I suggest is to replace the head, fluff wise Chaplains always wear a skull helmet. Night Runner
Great use of the extras to bring out a religious looking Space Marine Chaplain. Mr.Millar
Like I said, not too sure about the head, but i don't have any skull helmets, the closest thing i have is a gene-stealer skull from a box of termies and I don't like the look of it too much. I suppose i could always go with a Cassius-esque bionic head with half of the skin missing, or i could look on a bitz site for a decent skull to use. jester_prince
A skull face paint always looks brutal and id say much more primal and in a way more frightening. I say keep the head and go for facepaint. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193418-librarian-conversions/#findComment-2298014 Share on other sites
Glaeken Templaris
Thats what im doing with my bitz raided chaplain. im templed to swap his head (currently had to stick with the devi sargs buzzcut head) but im sorely tempted to use the scared and plated head from the masters of the chapter box. looks much more angry and its bald to would make a better skull for painting Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193418-librarian-conversions/#findComment-2298627 Share on other sites
dood515
I really think that ammo clip is way too big. Â Â I am sick of bald marine heads myself and would suggest anything with hair if you go with a helmetless one. A skullmet would probably be hard to find but you could always greenstuff the front onto a normal one. Mr.Millar
I decided to scrap the chaplain as i felt it wasn't all that great and I have dismantled said chappy and used his remains with some spare bits to produce two librarians which I must say, I'm quite proud of. C&C appreciated as always.  Both models are half way through the dry-brushing process, I will post more pictures when i start detailing them.  The first libby is more like a plastic Grey Knight than a librarian but I think it looks a darn sight better than the chaplain. The halberd is made from a thunder hammer with the peen removed replaced with one of the more ornate Ork CCWs, the bottom half is extended with a piece of plastic rod. http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11081.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11079.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11078.jpg  The second librarian has a more traditional look and a Cassius style half robotic face :D as you can see, I've improved at painting skin by a significant amount. The force staff was made in a similar way to the halberd on the first librarian, but with both ends extended and a banner top from the command squad used as the head. The psychic hood is made from a trimmed shoulder pad. http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11086.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11087.jpg http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx349/Mr_Millar/SDC11090.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193418-librarian-conversions/#findComment-2382089 Share on other sites

Montuhotep
where did you get the ornate chestplate on your first librarian from? From the Space Wolf sprue, if I'm any judge.
