Lestat Posted February 26, 2010 Share Posted February 26, 2010 After recieving a hefty box of metal models and parts (many thanks Lamenter and his site www.masteroftheforge.com ) I decided to use the Lysander body as a base for a new Blood Angel Captain. A quick search of my bitz box, and I had some Chaos terminator Lord lightning claws and a couple of nice shoulder pads. Theres still some work to do. I bought the model from him on his website and decided to turn him into a BA captain. I guess with a dremel and a bit of patience, it would not be too hard to shave off the icons. Nice conversion, I love those claws! I have a couple of sets myself awaiting owners :P Is that a FW left pad? The left pad is FW. Got it from a bitz site. Lestat Posted February 28, 2010 Author Share Posted February 28, 2010 A quick update on my Captain. Just need some final highlights and shading and the red is done and then onto the detail work. I mix Blazing Orange into the red to give an orangey look. I'm a bit old-school that way - been playing and collecting snce 2nd edition, so it just feels right to have an orange tinge to my models.
