Rob_Loken
Hi there, I thought I'd bung this guy up here to try and get some crits on a strange method I used to paint him. I used Calthan Brown as a basecoat, and then started mixing in Iyanden Darksun And working it up to Iyanden/White. It was kind of drybrushed on and then the recesses were washed with Gryphonne Sepia and Leviathan Purple before having a wash of the old Yellow Wash. I think he's come out alright but the style is completely different to my any of my other models. http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae63/Astartes_Loken/Codex%20Astartes%20Force/PICT1824.jpg http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae63/Astartes_Loken/Codex%20Astartes%20Force/PICT1823.jpg Cheers Rob Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193629-4th-company-sargeant/ Share on other sites
marine
Really well painted, you might want to know 4th company is green trim and the 5th company is black. Skambankt
Needs more yellow. The red is too red for the yellow to look yellow. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193629-4th-company-sargeant/#findComment-2300466 Share on other sites
Rob_Loken
You're right of course, silly mix up. 4th Co. Skambankt @ Could you elaborate a bit more? The yellow could be brighter yes, I'll look into that. But I don't understand about the red, should it be closer to orange or perhaps go the other way closer to purple? Cheers for the input though.
