Aerixis
Hey guys! This is the finished result from my Painting Black tutorial over here. I absoloutly love this miniature, but alas this was not for me. A good friend 'asked' me to paint an Imperial Fists army for him while he was working on a Skaven list, and this is the first thing on his list. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h167/aerixis/imperial%20fists/1.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h167/aerixis/imperial%20fists/2.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h167/aerixis/imperial%20fists/3.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h167/aerixis/imperial%20fists/4.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h167/aerixis/imperial%20fists/5.jpg Lemme know what you think! The Damned
Your shading on the black amour looks really sharp. Thats something I've always struglled with and I only now feel like I'm getting the hang of it. My only suggestion would be to add a fist icon behind the winged skelle, on the right arm. Man, I wish i had a friend who would paint an army for me. rolloverbeethoven
Wow! Love the contrast between the purity seals/eye colour and the bone shades on the crest and parchment in particular. Top stuff! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193781-aerixis-imperial-fists-terminator-chaplain/#findComment-2302373 Share on other sites
Aerixis
Wow! Love the contrast between the purity seals/eye colour and the bone shades on the crest and parchment in particular. Top stuff! :cuss Thanks buddy! Yeah I figured that if their armour is gonna be yellow, with a red helmet, and black shoulder pad rims, then green wax would make a nice spot colour! It's also going on the chainsword motors. I've got a sqaud painted and I'm getting them up soon! Brother 'Ussell
I love this model too, good job on the paint. It looks like you got a bit of the base rim paint on the basing material on the backside. Kronk
Ah, green wax. I was thinking there was copper used in the seals and they've tarnished from age. Either way, this is a nice painting of my favorite Games Workshop model. The parchment scrolls, the bone, and the power weapon (name escapes me at the moment) really stand out on this mini. Thank you for sharing. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193781-aerixis-imperial-fists-terminator-chaplain/#findComment-2302854 Share on other sites
Isiah
Great paintjob Aerixis. The muted colour scheme works really well, and I like the paint application style on the skull, chest eagle and the long central scrolly thing. Nice details in the coppery metallics and shining eyes. Cheers I Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193781-aerixis-imperial-fists-terminator-chaplain/#findComment-2303730 Share on other sites
