punkfish
It's been far too long since I last updated this. I haven't been idle since the LPC challenge but I seem to have forgotten to update this plog. Naughty me! Anyhoo, here's some of the fruits of my labour in the last few months. First of all, my Venerable Furioso with Frag Cannon. I'm still painting up the other weapon arms so this guy can be modular and equipped with a range of weapons. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2230/5773013054_a9453cae4c_z.jpg This is my DC Dread with Blood Talons and Magna-grapple. Lovely model to paint, I finished this bad boy off in a day. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5261/5842239752_31b573f9b7_z.jpg Here's my take on the Sanguinary Guard, I've gone for a NMM look with these guys, I'm fairly happy with how they've turned out, but I've got a few tweaks to make with the next squad. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5159/5866831096_6c0790f4d8_z.jpg http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6008/5866829678_88e0f893d8_z.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5152/5866274549_0cec8b2507_z.jpg Hope you all like - thanks for reading. Glendor
Those sang guard look really good. When I first saw them I thought "wow those are quite a nice gold with a lot of depth" then I read what you wrote. I should start reading then looking. punkfish
@Dem - it's a standard venerable dread but with Furioso and brass etched parts added. I'm glad people like the nmm scheme though, it started out as an experiment and I'm pleased that people like it. Next up is a squad of scout bikers. punkfish
Thanks for the comments Talnox and AM. I've not been idle in the last few months (Well, I have on the painting front, work has been a bit manic) but I've finally managed to get my Scout Bikers to a point where I'm happy to unleash them on the world. I'm planning on adding some weathering and possibly some extra details but I'll see how I feel. Any hoo, pics below, feel free to comment and tell me what you think. Cheers for reading. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6072/6080312266_3a56432dd2_z.jpg http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6076/6079776111_9047fd5b94_z.jpg http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6083/6080311712_5e3d8d353d_z.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193835-punkfishs-ba-5th-company/page/4/#findComment-2878401 Share on other sites

Brightguy
Pretty sure the fender marks are black blood drops. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193835-punkfishs-ba-5th-company/page/4/#findComment-2878670 Share on other sites
punkfish
The black marks are blood drops, to show that they're attached to the 5th Company. I need to tidy them up though and add some highlighting. punkfish
ah yes blood drops... cant believe that escaped my notice  though in my defense its only really visible in the last picture  I think this is the first time i actually see blood angel scout bikers  are their front... shield thingies supposed to look like that? it makes em look sleak :) i like it The wind shields are as they come - The bikes themselves seem sleeker than the usual Marine bikes and it's a fitting look for the scouts. I did actually finish the scouts in the end but I neglected to put the pictures up - let me remedy that. http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6161/6182450226_f072511608_z.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6159/6182449012_474e3c929a_z.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6169/6181926189_8fed842631_z.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6177/6181924891_e7509dfc8f_z.jpg And, as an added treat, here's a few photos of my BA army as it stands http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6042/6227921040_eff05b9069_z.jpg http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6228/6227402935_9e01ea2642_z.jpg Hope you like. Cain Tiberius Kondrad
Wow, how is it I haven't seen your army before? I think you and I have had the same vision Punkfish. Admitedly you are further along than I. But I'm hoping my Angels will be as numerus as yours before to long. Nicely painted army bud  CTK It's probably because I am an infrequent user of these forums, I have a plog on Warseer where I've been tracking the progress of this and my guard army. That being said, I do try to post my semi regular updates on here. You'll see a bit more usage in future as I've pledged to finish a mk3 armoured Sternguard squad and Razorback for the LPC. If I have the time, I'll try and sneak in Corbulo as well. The army has been a labour of love, some of the minis in the army shot are over 15 years old and I've been collecting BA's since 1990 so the army has undergone a few changes along the years. Thanks for the kind words, like all of us on here, the continued support of the community really spurs me along and it's always great to drop back in and see how many lovely Blood Angels armies spring up. Here's to another BA victory in the LPC! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193835-punkfishs-ba-5th-company/page/4/#findComment-2967950 Share on other sites
Midnightmare
Nice army shots mate, most of my old stuff is gone :tu: although I did find an old Landraider in my Dad's garage which was a nice find. Looking forward to your new stuff, so quit your jibba-jabba and make it so! Gillyfish
Very nice Punkfish - the army has definitely come along a lot since I last saw it (granted, that was two years ago). SnorriSnorrison
The scoutbikes are looking really good - reminds me of getting 5 of them...in time. The dark and gritty colours do them great justice! Oh, your other stuff is wonderful - especially the Sanguinary Guard. I haven't been around since 1990, but I know what it means to see how a force changes over the years...new units are added, leaving older units behind(because of increased painting/modeling skills), but your army looks great together, and its a huge army as well! :) One question, if you don't mind - what did you submit for the LPC? Thanks! Snorri Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/193835-punkfishs-ba-5th-company/page/4/#findComment-2970309 Share on other sites

punkfish
Hi guys, sorry for the double post but here's my entry for this years LPC. I committed to paint a Razorback and a Mk3 Sternguard Veteran Squad. Presented below are the obligatory 2 WIP shots and then a few shots of the finished articles. I hope you all like. Nicodemus Doloroso
Very impressive army! I especially like the darker shade of red that you went with. I prefer a metallic Sanguinary Guard myself, but the scheme you went with definitely works. What does NMM stand for?
