Midas
This is epic and the wolf emblem on the front looks vicious enough to be a cougar. But don't worry it doesn't actually look like a couger. Vredesbyrd
Very cool, that freehand Jormungandr is ace and I really like the cool grey colour you've gone with for the armour. Sharpsilver
Excellent freehands mate. Really jealous  The weathering too, is excellent. Very realistic and isn't over the top, yet doesn't look like it's just rolled out of a Forge World. tiny sam
How did you achieve that weathering? Blackmane
how to paint the armour is shown here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...p;#entry2501878 -The chipping however is: -Sponging on scorched brown -filling in with a mid tone brown, leaving a thin streak of the scorched in the top -Thin Highlight of a leather colour in the bottom -Highlight UNDER the scratch with the brightest colour of scratched (SW grey here) What is worth noticing(and what I totally missed at first) is that a chip is painted with reversed highlights. It's clear to see that I didn't understand it especially on the large chips on the exhausts where I got the chip high lights wrong. It can be clarified by showing what a chip would look like this if you zoom in on it: iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiI iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiI <- armour level iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiI iiiiiiiiiiiI <- Aaaar, Chippie shadow bee here! iiiiiiiiiiiI iiiiiiiiiiiI <- The chip iiiiiiiiiiiI iiiiiiiiiiiI iiiiiiiiiiiI iiiiiiiiiiiI iiiiiiiiiiiI<---highlight of the chip iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiI <---this 'edge' is to be treated like any other edge on the vehicle you would high light and therefor give it you extreme high light colour iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiI iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiI iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiI I think I will try a dark grey combination instead of the browns. I think that brown chips look kinda rusty and Marine armour materials seems to be a bit more durable on a tank that 'lives' for decades Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/194055-wolfy-vindie/#findComment-2502773 Share on other sites
tiny sam
many thanks for the paint tips. I think I will try a dark grey combination instead of the browns. I think that brown chips look kinda rusty and Marine armour materials seems to be a bit more durable on a tank that 'lives' for decades something like explosion burn? I also think between each campagnain techmarines do change every scratch armor plate in respect of the machine spirit and bla bla bla Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/194055-wolfy-vindie/#findComment-2502794 Share on other sites
Blackmane
I will use the same techniques just diffent colours. As you pointed; the damage will be reapaired immediately and therefore it should not have the chance to corrode. The grey represents the primercolour whereas the brown represents corrosion Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/194055-wolfy-vindie/#findComment-2502814 Share on other sites
Fenric
Looks awesome.
