Check out page 2.

Inquisitorial armies may take Imperial Guard and Space Marine allies, chosen from the latest versions of their codices. As both of these codices have changed recently, use the following amendments to the list on pg 30-31 of the Daemon Hunters book and page 26 of the Witch Hunters book:

Troops

Space Marine Tactical Squad, Space Marine Scout Squad, Imperial Guad Infantry Platoon, Imperial Guard Veteran Squad. Unit upgrade characters may NOT be taken (i.e. Commander Chenkov, Sergeant Bastonne)

Fast Attack

Space Marine Assault Squad, Land Speeder Squadron, Space Marine Bike Squadron, Scout Sentinel Squadron, Armored Sentinel Squadron, Rough Rider Squad, Scout Bike Squad

Heavy Support

Space Marine Devastator Squad, Space Marine Land Raider (Crusader and Redeemer as well), Space Marine Dreadnought, Space Marine Predator, 0-1 Leman Russ Squadron (Pask may NOT be taken)

Are these official rules changes? Or is this just tournament specific?

These rules are not exactly new; they're nearly a year old, and since they're tournament-specific they don't do much good for anything outside of a tournament that's long over.

For official rules using IG in DH/WH armies, consult GW's Imperial Guard FAQ.

Damn. So I'm still limited to whole flamin' Infantry platoons? Wish I could use Veteran Squads.

You say this like this is a bad thing!

Trust me. It isn't. :D

Even if we had access to IG vets, the Platoons would still be better because they provide that copious amount of long-range shooty that the army otherwise totally lacks.

Hm. It would have been nice to be able to take just two vet squads to unlock access to the LRBT.

I'm thinking of adding IG platoons to my Sisters, actually. What sort of long-range weapons can an IG platoon bring to the table?

Lascannons are one that you can use. The extra long range anti-tank is excellent.

Autocannons are in general useful. They fill a similar place to the exorcist. General purpose daka, althought the exorcist has the advantage over them in nearly every way, they are still very good heavy weapons.

Heavy Bolters are...not bad...they fire more often than the autocannon but are lower str. Sisters can already get heavy bolters and regular bolters, giving them to imps is a little redundant.

Missile lauchers are a bit similar to autocannons. They take all comers well. They are another good choice if you don't know what you will be encountering. However, the exorcist fills the role of anti-tank better than it does, and I tend to find the autocannon a better anti-infantry choice.

Mortar: Same as missile lauchers, but less.

My weapon choices for imps backing up sisters are as such.

Lascannon: Best choice of the lot, fills an area you need, long range anti-tank.

Autocannon: Takes all comers, infantry lighter than marines goes bye-bye, marines are still wounded on 2+ and light tanks (Rhinos, Chimeras, Orc, Eldar and Tau) can be harmed by a couple of good shots and "Bring it Down!" means you have a pretty good chance.

A good addition to a sisters list is as such:

Platoon:

Command Squad-Lascannon, Chimera with multilaser and heavy bolter

Squad-Lascannon, Chimera with multilaser and heavy bolter

Squad-Lascannon, Chimera with multilaser and heavy bolter

That is tough, hard hitting and very versatile. The chimeras are optional but recommended.

Hope I've been helpful

Keep in mind that if you just want the auxilary FA and HS choices, two bare bones platoons (platoon command and 2 squads, no upgrades) comes in at about one squad worth of Sisters or Grey Knights pointswise. You really aren't paying that much for them, and you still get 6 scoring units :)
Thanks for the tip :tu: Still, I'm barely at 1k points for my pure Sisters force. My plan is to finish collecting my 1500 point Sisters list before I start thinking about inducting Guard or allying Grey Knights. I'm also very worried that the next =][= codex will take away the options to take units from either of those armies.

In tournies and more out-of-circle games, a change to the allies system could leave you with units you don't use. However, lot's of people are pretty open in more casual circumstances. I don't think I'd bat an eye at an Inquisition list which inducted Guard or Space Marines (Not just because I play them.) That's how the Imperium works in my interpretation and I think it is fluffy and good. I'm perfectly fine with a Guard player I know using Eldar allies, he's done it for years and it's fun for both sides.

Heavy Support

Space Marine Devastator Squad, Space Marine Land Raider (Crusader and Redeemer as well), Space Marine Dreadnought, Space Marine Predator, 0-1 Leman Russ Squadron (Pask may NOT be taken)

It only mentions Pask. Does that mean I can take Chronus? It makes no specific mention of him.

The most fitting answer would be...

Facepalm

It also says not to take Characters in the troops entry.
