i know the lighting sucks but i can never really seem to get it to do what i want it to

nice minis, you certainly bested my attempt at templars.

 

i would suggest some break up of the red on the jum packs as it doesnt seem very templary, maybe have white out take bits with a scorthyness.

i just didnt want a unit like the assault marines to blend in to much with all my other troops, and at the same time make the model seem a bit more striking. and what do you mean by scorthyness

love the red on the assault marines, it make them stand out from the normal, boring BT colour scheme
